After the the United States were unable to pay off its national debt the once most powerful country had fallen apart. Now each state has seperated from the Union into another country and they must survive and interact with eachother if they want to show their power to the world.

that is the website we could really use more players and many states are left. NS stats are used.

Kansas:

Population: 2,723,507

Land area: 81,815 square miles

Military installations:
1. McConnell Air Force Base, home of the 931st Air Reserve Group, the Kansas Air National Guard's 184th Refueling Wing, and the 22nd Air Refueling Wing, as well as numerous "tenant units."
2. Fort Riley, home of the 24th Infantry Division, 1st Infantry Division, 1st Armored Division, and numerous "tenant units."
3. Fort Levenworth, home of the 38th Infantry Division and numerous "tenant units."
4. Kansas National Guard and Reserve, estimated total strength at three divisions.

I suspect Kansas could hold its own against any third world country and much of the "first world."

If I were playing, I'd take Maine, Only borders with one other state, and besides, I'd apply to join Canada and thusly corner the market on lobster fishing.

it uses NS states so Kansas could be a power. however only the states and American territories can be played.

Hardley comparable to California.
True, but I've heard that most Californians can't hold a weapon properly. :D

... has Sweden taken over the world yet?

Please don't fall into the trap of believing that we are building Ikea shops in your countries to sell you reasonably priced fashionable furniture - that's merely a cover story. They are trojan horses. One day hundreds of vikings will stream out of every Ikea and take over the world!

Kansas:...
You are assuming that the soldiers would just stay on their bases rather than go home - and that Kansas has the economy to afford all those installations.
