Book 4 was the best book.
Movies 1 and 2 were good, 3 sucked.

Nope.

No one here is Harry Potter fan.

And none of us are going to be running outside chasing every UPS truck on the 15th like it was the ice-cream truck.

Definitely not me.

Movies 1 and 2 were good, 3 sucked.

I liked the 4th one the most. The ending was great. but I have to say.. the first 2 movies were the most painful things I've ever had to sit through. My friend and I went to see the first one when it came out and we were laughing so much... not at the comical parts, but at the serious parts. I thought the third was much better, they got rid of the uniforms, believe me, no one walks around in their school uniforms when they aren't at school. And it was nice to see the movie wasn't going to have pixies flying out of Harry everytime he passed gas. you know what I mean.

YES! I heart Harry Potter! My favorite book was the fourth and fifth...although Harry has an attitude problem in the fifth. I am so going to go to a midnight party on the 15! WOOT WOOT!!

The first to movies were good at first but became EXTREMELY cheesy near the end. Dobby is ugly. The third movie is the best movie. I don't like how blue it is, and how it doesn't go with the book that well. But, heck, its better than the first two. The fourth movie is going to be really good.

Personally I thought the 4th was the worst, followed closely by the 3rd. The best movie by far is the 1st one, but the 3rd one is starting to grow on me...the 3rd movie is almost bearable if you mute it and just watch Emma Watson the entire time :D

the fourth book was definitley my favorite though in the fifth book it showed more of the teenager that he is becoming more than the others. Teens do have anger issues a lot of the time and finnaly showing it in the book really made it seem more realistic. I didnt like any of the mmovies yet but if they even screw up the fourth movie i will have to hurt somebody

Don't judge the movies too harshly for they have to cram alot into less than 2 hours of filming. Alot was cut out of the 3rd movie, but JK Rowling had final say for only she knew what was really important.

I expect alot of cuts from Goblet of Fire.

She knew what she felt was most important. However, books take a life of their own separate from the author once they reach the reader - and a lot of fans obviously didn't think she kept some of the important parts (seriously, how long would it have taken to explain how they all became animaguses because of Lupin???).

Anne Rice had the final say on Queen of the Damned too - but that has to have been the absolute worst movie adaptation of a book that has ever been made.

No, hate the books, there good for kids, the writing way to simplistic for adults.

I used to love them, then I read HDM

Never did like the fact that the Patronis at the end wasn't a Stag shaped Patronis, they also edited out "Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs," and only lightly touched up on Crookshanks and Scabbers, but to fit all of that in, it would be longer than LotR movies.

Did she really? The movie was awful-I'm surprised she approved it. I was expecting much better.

I liked them when they first came out.

When I was 9.

By the time 4 came out I was beginning to see how unoriginal and contrived the plots were, and how Rowling only had 1 original idea in her life- combine the genres of fantasy and school. Beyond that she just lifted characters and scanarios from famous works of the genres.

I never read past 4, and I only saw the 3rd movie because I was on an airplane and the only other thing playing was Stepford Wives.
