who plays Guild Wars? anyone?

short runthrough for those who havn't: free per month, everything is instanced so only a handful of people can play together outside of pvp, NCSoft is evil.

I bought it yesterday. Got it home, made it to 7th level.

I hope it gets better, because so far it's pretty lame.

7th level.... wtf? Are we talknig about the same game? And, why don't we just add our in game names as well, lots of fun there

It doesn't get better, and the maximum level you can reach is 20. I uninstalled my copy, waste of harddrive space.

The story is shit (after the Ascalon storyline), but the level 20 cap is for pvp. You can have fun, competitive gameplay without having "OHMYGODUBERHIGHLEVELS!". I don't play games to level, I play games to do quests, which it sadly lacks latter game.

I'm not very good at those MMORPGs. Or RPGs in general. I had PSO I&II for Gamecube, but I just degenerated to stealing peoples' rare items.

If you finish all the quests before going to war, you should be about Level 7... (depends how much monster hunting you do).

So far, the graphics are great, but the game is not nearly as good as Neverwinter Nights.

WoW is good, imho. Haven't tried GW yet, and probably won't at this rate. I don't play that often, so doing 2 games would be stupid, to say the least :rolleyes:

Well NWN is a totally differnet type of game for one. and two, oh you mean your level 7. Yeah, and the ascalon storyline is the only good storyline, once you hit Kryta, its over and the storyline turns into generic "U R TEh OnE!!11 Safe teh world!!11!!"

I will give them this though: their ambient life is excellent: fully made out gnats and butterflies, seagulls, bats, shark..things, little tropical fish in the waters too I hear. The bulls and dolyaks arn't that good though

You don't have to pay for guild wars, its designed to be played some of the time and not alot

Right. Lots of eye candy, but so far I'm not impressed with the game much. I'll hold judgement for a while tho, until I've hit L20 and such.

Yeah, ascalon is the good storyline, once you hit kryta, bye bye good storyline. also good bye most of the quests.

Rufio Cartigan is the name
