I believe I exist.
I believe the universe was created by a being that surpasses all limitations of this universe - God.
I believe God created the universe with the intention of creating humans as sentient beings in direct personal relationships with Him.
I believe humanity decided and often decides in opposition to His will.
I believe God wanted to restore the opportunity of relationships between humans and Him.
I believe God sacrificed to bear humans' burdens, so that His relationships could be restored.
I believe all humans can have a personal relationship with God because of His mercy and grace.
I believe I am a Christian - I devote my life to God's living sacrifice: Jesus Christ. That does not mean I encompass the beliefs of all Christians. That does not mean I speak for all Christians. That does not mean you must call me a Christian.
If you have any questions, I'll answer them if I remember to check this thread, or you can PM me.

I believe in this guy that was born of a virgin on December 25. During his birth he was surrounded by shepherds and Magi. He went around the countryside performing miracles with his 12 disciples. He taught all the people about how he was "the Way" and "the Light," all the while casting out devils, giving sight to the blind, and healing the lame. He saved mankind by sacrificing himself, but not before he had a last supper where he told his followers that by drinking his blood and eating his flesh they could beat death. When he died, he was buried in a rock tomb, but he came back to life 3 days later (because during those 3 days he was in hell) in March, where he later ascended to heaven. To this day followers of this guy practice baptism...

If you guessed Jesus, you would be wrong. Go back about 200+ years before Jesus' time and you might find your answer :) And actually I'm agnostic, just shaking the foundations of faith :D

I am an agnostic, and will not believe in 'God' lest I see him with my own two eyes.

Unfortunately, I would be extremely skeptical that anyone claiming to be him actually was God, and even if he was then I would still hold any being claiming to be inherently superior to me in the utmost contempt.

Err...one who disbelieves or denies the existence of god or gods and a disbeliever in the existence of god....whats the difference?

Just in case you see him, he is black, wears a white suit and lives in Room 7.

I think it means that he personally doesn't believe, and frequently tells people that they are misguided.

I take it Eastern Spiritualism equates to Buddhism? I'm Zen Buddhist/Atheist/Agnostic/Hedo-Finnist(My own religion). Well I've been those at one time or another. Ah well I'm convoluted, but Zen Buddhism is the big one.

I am an Atheist because I dont have theist beliefs.

I am an Antitheist because I disbelieve in every theist belief I have seen.

I am without religious beliefs, and I am against religious beliefs(If others want to believe, thats fine. I just dont think they should, but its their choice).

Eastern Spirituality is a very vague term, you know. I would consider myself agnostic before I would consider myself Buddhist, Hindu, Confuciantianist or the like, but my thought patterns definately lean more in that direction than on raw skepticism, so I went for the Eastern option.

Why do these religious polls invariably leave out Paganism???

There were only 10 available option slots. And since I put in the major, most important, most influential religions/trains of thoughts, I couldn't fit in individual slots for Eastern Spiritual religions, such as Buddhism, Confucianism, Tao, Shinto, etc. I also couldn't fit in Paganism. So, if you belong to a small religious minority, then I'm sorry, but there's only 10 available slots :gundge:

Well if you were to put the top 10 religions it would go something like...

Christianity
Islam
Hinduism
Agnostic (Freethinkers, Humanists, Secularists)
Chinese Traditional/Folk (Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism)
Buddhism
Prima/Tribal Religions (Shamanism, Animism)
Atheists
New Religions
Sikhism

...Judaism doesn't even make the top 10 religions of the world...

Now, if we were talking about the USA, it would look more like:

Christianity
Agnostic
Judaism
Islam
Buddhism
Atheist
Hinduism
Unitarian Universalist
Wiccan (Pagan, Druid)
Spiritualist

I am one of dual faiths. I am your basic agnostic who is just unsure of either side, but at the same time I am of an obscure sect called discordiansim. Discordianism is known as religion rapped in a joke rapped in a religion and likes to emphasize the contradictions that are found in most religions.

I appreciate the brutal honesty of this faith.

*eats a Bible*

Oh, God, I'm so weak!!

Aherm ... sorry ... joke's over ... nothing more to see here ...

Anyway, I'm Muslim. By that, I mean I practise Islam. By that, I mean I submit myself to the will of God (whom I call Allah). By that, I mean I follow Torah (Allah's Law), the Prophets (Allah's Messengers), and the Qur'an (Allah's Last - by which I mean most recent - Revelation). The Baha'i *might* have a case for a new Revelation, but not enough evidence has been presented to me at this time. As far as I am concerned, Muhammad(pbuh) has been given the most recent revelation.

Included in the Prophets, I hold Jesus as one. Not "the Christ" as "Christ" implies Divinity. Jesus held no Divinity within himself, but merely was appointed to bring a Divine message.

I, personally, believe the Buddha to be a Prophet of Allah, as did Jesus believe it so (I'd give all the evidence of this, but I don't think this is the thread for it).

I also cling to the belief that certain animals are endowed with a closer vision of Allah and are held dear and special to Allah (such as Coyote and Deer) as taught by my familial tribe ... so I do hold a special place for that, which gives me a little bit more liberal/mystical feel for Islam - to which some people at Mosque say I have "Sufi Leanings".

So ... in short ... I'm a Muslim Buddhist Jew Animist with Sufi Leanings.

Figure that out.

Religion is man's attempt to reach God -- and, quite frankly, we can't build a ladder that tall.

Salvation is God's attempt to reach man, and requires little more than "Yes, thank you, I accept it." But that seems too easy, so we muck it up with dogma and rules and things we force ourselves to do so we can still feel like we're in charge of our salvation and have somehow earned it in the end.

Perhaps there is a God. And perhaps there is some sort of Heaven and Redemption. And perhaps God sees everything we do.

In that case, who really deserves Heaven? Honestly.

Simple: no one. ;)

To Christians, myself included, we all fall short of the glory of God, and only through accepting the Christ's perfect sacrifice are we able to redeem the sins we hold and become pure in the eyes of the Divine.
