Google, hands down. They're expanding in so many different directions, other companies just can't keep up.

As far as having a foothold on the industry, I'd say google has it, but I must say that when I downloaded the Google toolbar, it also installed "other" software, which I was not pleased with. I did research on the net, and it turns out that others had the same problem. Although I liked the functionality of the toolbar, Yahoo's toolbar installed clean, and seems to take less resources to run. I'm also a big fan of Yahoo's mail service and I.M.!

Google win win, but if you can't decide then you might want to try YaGooHooGle (http://www.yagoohoogle.com)

(Seems to be down at the moment)

Personally, I would use either one, as long as I can get to what I am looking for.

Ah I see. That post wasn't there when I went to make mine. I spent a few minutes trying to see if I'd got the URL right, and it seemed I had but it was just down. It's at Twingine now, you're right. Disappointing... Yagoohoogle was such a better name :(

My roommate and I are under the impression that Google is expanding far too quickly and will soon be as big, if not bigger, of a threat as/than Wal-Mart. The only difference is that we will all be willing slaves to Google, as it is the coolest company I've ever seen. :fluffle:

Oh, but I use Yahoo! for e-mail and IM (love their IM service), and Google for e-mail, search, and maps, but nothing else at the moment.

Yahoo's IM is only less crappy than AIM. Its full of crappy bugs and is only better than aim because it asks you if you want to install all the programs it doesnt tell you about that comes with it

you guys should seriously just try gmail...
honestly, the page loads a lot quicker, its dead easy to find the message you want with the search feature, AND you have 2.3 Gigs and counting (http://www.gmail.com) of storage.

AND, you don't get cluttered with Ads that you don't want and crap all over your screen.

Gmail is simple, smart, and powerful.

Google pwns Yahoo in the search engine, directory, local, and maps sections. Yahoo has the better Groups feature. As far as IMing goes, I like AOL. Oh, Yahoo and pwns all in internet radio.
