i mean i'm the master at loosing stuff. give me something and *poof!* its gone! where? nobody knows!!
my life is nothing more than a frustrating series of hunts for things i've lost. things which i knew where they were yesterday, but somehow today its all moved around... i swear things sprout legs and walk about at night, hiding themselves just to annoy me the next day
anybody else got skillz in loosing stuff?

I am expert at losing tools.
Whenever I'm on a job I spend half the time looking for the screwdriver that I put down just a second ago. I actually carry 3 phillips no.1 drivers so I can get a job finished and then find them all at the end.
It's a lack of focus with me. I concentrate so hard on the fix that I lose the fixers :p
edit: I actually always put my keys and wallet in exactly the same place every night and always carry them (and change) in the same pocket (keys on left, wallet on right) in what my wife describes as a "slightly autistic way" so I never lose the really important stuff.
I have a strikingly unusual memory. I forget all the time things that I don't want or remind me of things I don't want to do (like schedules). However, I have a hunch for finding all the secret nooks and crannies in the 'fridge where certain foods are kept. I'm really good. :D
The only thing I've really lost, and regret losing, is my marbles.

I just got called in to cover a shift for someone who is sick and I can't find my keys as usual, nor can I locate my purse (HOW ON EARTH CAN SOMEONE LOSE A PURSE!?!?! IT'S TOO LARGE TO LOSE!!!), so I guess you can include me in the category of people who lose things often :D

Perhaps you have a ghost that follows you around and moves things just to torment you.

lol same here... its always the way - put something down and then immediatley start looking for it...
i've also started doing the senile thing of walking into rooms, stopping dead in my tracks and saying "what the fuck did i come in here for again? "
and its not weird... i do the exact same thing with my keys and change! in fact i have my keys attatched to my wallet, which is on a chain attatched to me! thats one thing i never loose any more thank god! :p
I'm pretty good at loosing things. Just this morning I got the hinges unstuck on my bedroom door, showed my sister how to get a wobbly tooth out and customised my clothing to make it extra baggy.
On another note, I like to annoy people who make very simple spelling errors by responding to the question they actually ask. So just the one "o" will do in the future. ^^;

I'm good a losing myself, both physically and mentally. Physically: I set off to go somewhere and end up arriving some where completely different, Mentally: I'll drift of during a conversation into my own wee world only to realise ten minutes later that I haven't been paying attention to anything in the real world.
I think the two may be connected somehow....

Hell, yeah, I'm good at loosing stuff. I could probably loose a rock and nail you in the head from fifty feet away.
I rarely lose things, though.

No, I actually have a very good memory. I remember (even minute) things that none of my friends & family do, and I get annoyed because they don't. I think that's how everyone's memory works, so I'm surprised when others don't remember the things I do.

Maybe you are an extremely intelligent person. I once knew a Professor who taught at MIT. He would come into the drug store and stand at the soda fountain. Many times when I asked him, "May I help you Professor?" He would reply, "Um, I forgot what I came in for." He would then turn around and leave. I understand the man was a true genius and his mind was so active he couldn't remember the more mundane things. So, you might be a genius.

lol or alternatively my housemate, a full-on pothead:
"where are my keys?"
*searches house*
*searches car*
*searches house again*
*asks girlfriend*
*calls friend to see if he left em somewhere*
...
*sticks hand in pocket*
...
*bangs head against the wall*
i swear he goes through pretty much all that at least every other day! :p
this is why i have mine attatched to me :D

Hats, gloves, scarves and umbrellas stand no chance around me.
I suppose that's why my parents give me one or more of the above items every Christmas.

So you have a problem with "loosing" things, eh?
Have you "loosed" the fateful lightning of your terrible swift sword?
LOOSE, v. = to let something go, to set loose.
LOSE,v = what you're talking about.

My missus says it's the way I "can't" go out without my keys. It's sort of a compulsion. I've done it for so many years.
I once saw the comedian Dave Allen do the same thing with a genuflection (the catholic cross thing?) which goes spectical, testicles, wallet and watch on each point.
I get to the door and check before I step forth to face the world.
As to forgetting what you went into a room for. Yup, senile.
I drove to Argos yesterday and stood there saying "WTF did I come here for"
So I bought a chest of drawers cos I decided it was furniture.
I was s'posed to get a chair.
Oh well, we need a chest of drawers (I expect :p )

Stuff I use daily always get lost somehow. I always find it sooner or later, but I rarely ever find it when I'm looking.
At least once a month, I find a nice cold trimmer waiting in the fridge, when I'm getting breakfast. It's amazing is still works. I've also found my shoepolish in the freezer a couple of times.
At least 6 people have copies of all my keys. I lock myself outta my flat on a regular basis, and I lose my keys a couple of times a year. It's an expensive habit, 'cos I have a lot of them.
When I'm working I always bring 2 or 3 of each tool. Otherwise I'd never finish anything. And I really really really hate organised people who put all the tools in one spot, so "everybody" knows where they are.
I've never owned a car, but I've still managed to lose 3 of them. All were eventually found, but it's not a plesant situation. I've resorted to stealing bikes. After 10 years of either losing a bike every 2-3 months or having them stolen, I've given up on buying them. I often lose the bikes I nick.
- No I don't steal locked bikes. I'm pretty sure I've never stolen a bike that wasn't stolen already.

thankfully my lack of memory has yet to cost me that much.... so far anyhow
I think it is obvious that small gnomes, with an obviously insidious Communist agenda are stealing our things, or at least moving them around. They must be stopped at all cost, which is why I think we need to gas our home regularly. Too bad if someone forgets to stay outside while it is, it's us or THEM!

I am horrible at this, I could put my keys or a pen down somewhere and go to get something to drink...come back and they arent were I thought the were and spend 10 minutes looking for them.
I also have alot of trouble remembering my passwords since I have like 10 different ones I use and rotate, but that's probably just natural and not a bad memory.
