Both are good. Certain types of games are better on one than the other, but neither is exclusively better than the other.

And by the way, let's say "PC" vs "Console" as in this comparison, none of the consoles are really that different.

I've played Vice City on PC and console, and it is significantly better on console. I've also played Ghost Recon, Civilization (multiple versions of the game), and Command and Conquer (again, multiple versions) on PC and console, but PC is better.

I prefer PS games, even though they may run slower and have worse graphics as a general rule. The reason is that my PS2 won't crash on me in the middle of a mission, and thus stop me finishing it.

That said, RTS and Flight Sim games are better on PC. However, most other genres I find better on console. Easier controls. That's the problem with the PC games, they have large lists of commands that seemingly require ten hands to do everything to stop yourself dieing

FPS, RPG, RTS, TBS, and Flight/Boat/Whatever Sims are better on PCs, and Adventure, Racing, and Sports games are better on consoles. Nintendo is good for Adventure, RPG, and other off genre games, X-Box is good for Racing and Adventure, and PS2 is good for, uhhhh....playing DVDs.

Video Games Are Best On (IMO)

1.PC
2.SNES
3.NES/DS(Tie)
4.PS1/N64(Tie)
5.GC/XBox(Tie)
6.Nothing

I'm gonna have to go with PC on this one, becase even though mine sucks, a broken Atari that's on fire is better than a playstation.

PS1 has some really good games, like Legend of Mana, or Final Fantasy Tactics. PS2, you would be going too light on with that comparison.

the problem with PS games is that there are so many of them only about 30% of them are any good - Sony just releases just about anything. or at least they used to.

the PC games market sure does contain a lot of crap, but a lot less, imho. and, for gameplay, PC games is where the real innovation is. though this is partly only due to the fact that hardware changes on the PC so much (both a great strength and a major pain in the ass)

plus RTS games aren't generally available on consoles, and thats my favourite genre.

and lets not forget that a modern PC will have better graphics than a PS, by a long way. vindication of this was when a PS owning friend of mine came over and saw me playing San Andreas at max resolution and settings, and his jaw just dropped :D
and also the resolution of a computer moniter is definatley going to be better than that of a TV.

PC all the way!

And what's with the Gamecube is for Kiddies? It has the least amount of 'E' rated games out of GC, XB, and PS2. XB only has maybe 20 more than GC though. PS2 has about 200 more than GC.

The PC, of course. However, sports games are always better on consoles... Reason? Nobody's really attempted to release a dedicated PC sports game. Ever.

i think it significantly better on PC as you can actually shoot and get head shots with the little pistol and make your own radio station. if you've got a controller near by to drive with its definatly best on pc.

That's right. I've owned my Cube for years and only recently have I gotten E rated games for it. Nintendo is not a kiddy company. I have more M rated games for my N64 than any other platform.

there is no comparasion. PC's are constantly being upgraded and improved up on faster than Consoles, so the power of the PC will aways be better than a console.

However, the console's advantage is that because it's not always upgraded, it tends to be the far more stable platform.
