The proposal is unclear and potentially ambiguous, due to it being poorly worded. Furthermore, it suggests something which is already the case at present.

Ok. Sorry about that. I could explain it better if you want?

Basically, this just enforces the idea that anyone can stand for election, and if they get enough votes get a seat, no matter how silly their beliefs are.

I am shocked at the 4 votes against....

I am more shocked that you haven’t voted on proposal #3 yet.

I think that it should be reworded to be a bit less vague. However, I agree with it on principle.

Where is proposal 3?

Where is proposal 3?

Here it is. Judging by your manifesto, your nay vote should help defeat this proposition.

Can we try and get this proposal clear. At the moment it is about as clear as a the interior of a molehill.

We require that in any future election all parties that obtain the minimum of 4% of the popular vote will gain at least one seat. Parties gaining 3.999% of the vote will not be entitled to a seat. Seats shall be gained only upon the criteria of:
1. Being an officialy recognized NS Political Party
2. Obtaining the threshold of 4% of the popular vote in the Parliamentary elections final round.

No further requirement shall be made or imposed without the express revocation of this law.

Des that describe what you are trying to propose?

Basically, yes.

Basically, yes.
In that case, the necessary edits shall be done - and I will vote YEA.

After due consideration, I have cast my vote as 'Nay'. While the principle is good, it does not bring anything new (since it proposes something which is already the case), and it invalidates amendments which may be needed in order to whittle down the number of parties (not that I would ever approve of a party being excluded on the grounds of silliness).

Also, it needs rewording.

And besides, I think it's gone over the time allotted for approval...

I second that.
