I would part with copious amounts of gold, silver, latinum, whatever just to see this stupid gay marriage debate fizzle away into obscurity. I mean seriously, after roasting each other alive for the millionth time over this, is anyone on either side having that sense that this is time well spent?
There must be something else going on here. No way would people wage world war 3 over one of the most petty issues facing man in the modern age. What happened to the important stuff like global warming, nuclear proliferation, poverty etc? Why aren't they getting fifty threads per day of fervent post devotion? If you're going to argue make it over something that's worth the subsequent hurt feelings and forum banishments.
