We're past halfway through (we're past mid-2005 (June), we're past mid-decade) the 2000's and we've seen half of the events that history will judge us on.
How do you think history will view us?
This can be for your nation's history or general world history.
As for me, I'd imagine that as an American, I think the results on the history books would not not (double-negative) show the resistance of the nation once President Bush decided to invade Iraq. The books will probably show America as that it was one of it's most divided points in history. That the power of your party was becoming more and more important and widespread. That the Republican party swept us Americans off our feet during Bush's lucky election mishap in 2000.
In general world history, I can only hope they mention one good thing about America. And at least mention that it was President Bush's policies that were not fully supported by his own nation.
