Can anyone identify this rifle used in Behind Enemy Lines (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159273/)?

It definitely looks Western (either Swiss or German). Just to say, that's one of my favorite movies.

I'm not aware that the Yugos made any bolt action sniper rifles as they followed a more Soviet discipline in small arms. I never understood why that guy managed to acquire a Western rifle. Maybe the director wasn't very good at selecting props.

There's one scene in the film where he shoots standing up, trying to get that American pilot who was sliding down the dam. That was the whole view of the rifle. Not being a very memorable weapon, I just concluded that it was very odd, being a Western design.

according to this (http://www.moviemistakes.com/film1788/corrections)
It was chosen deliberatly to highlight the fact that not all weaponry was sourced from Russia.
