(It you ever have trouble understanding our president, who is George W. Bush for those of you who don't know, you should pick up this nice translation book. It translates "bush speak" to the actual English language. For example here is how to say the world "oil" in bush speak "earl". Okay now you try it. From the makers of Milton Bradley.)

here's what he's saying about it:
"There's a lot of us getting ready to retire. We're called baby boomers. As a matter of fact, my retirement age is 2,008." -- Washington, D.C., Jun. 14, 2005
"A lot of us are getting ready to retire. We're called baby boomers. See, my retirement age happens to be in 2008, I reached retirement age in 2008, which is a convenient year for me to retire." -- Time travelling again, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Jun. 2, 2005

It's kinda like being elected Pope. Anyone can be confirmed, but usually it helps to be a lawyer, yes. Not all of them have though, and I think an ex-president has gone on to the SCOTUS. Maybe someone can recall the name?

An IQ of 120....psch.
My IQ was 145, tested last summer. I believe that Bush has his priorities slightly confused, you should save your people before worrying about money. If he is to die during that year, then I think it is much too late. It is 2005 now, 2014 is in 9 years. I'm 15 right now, and once I'm fully able to, I'm going to pursue restoring this cursed country. I be able to pay my respects to the man sooner than 2014, if I get lucky.
Edit: It doesn't matter how he appears to be, how he speaks, how he acts. It is what he believes that counts, and he believes in money.
Personally and i think i speak for alot of people Bush is stupid. He has already run G8 into the ground and it hasn't started yet so we can safely assume hes not intelligent.
You criticize the President's intelligence, and yet you cannot put an intelligible sentence together. "Alot" is not a word, the phrase "a lot" can be used. "He has already run" is wrong - it should be "He already ran". "Hes" is not a word, either. It should be "he's", the contraction of the words "he is".
By the way, you might be interested to know that his grades at Yale were slightly better than Kerry's. I don't hear any criticism of that esteemed Senator's intelligence - Mr "I actually voted for the 87 billion before I voted against it".

Incredible. A person's inner thoughts, whether acted on or not, are more important than their actions? I hold the belief that the world would be better off without certain people I dislike, but that does not make me a murderer until I act on it. A person's actions define them, not their beliefs.

He got into Yale because of his legacy. 35 people in Bush's extended family attended Yale. Prescott Bush, his grandfather was a lengendary Bonesman who virtually never left the campus. H.W. Bush was nearly the same. Of course they're going to let him in no matter how much coke he's snorted, his family has too much power and influence on Yale.
As for the IQ... If Bush's IQ is ~120, mine is above 200.
Someone with an IQ of 120 doesn't say this:
"I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep on the soil of a friend."
-- Dubya's way of saying he's looking forward to a visit to Denmark, White House, Jun. 29, 2005
or "Sometimes when I sleep at night, I think of 'Hop on Pop'." --Pennsylvania State University, Apr. 2, 2002
Of course they're going to let him in no matter how much coke he's snorted, his family has too much power and influence on Yale.

when was it "discredited"? when he was arrested for possession of narcotics? Here's what Sharon Bush said about George W. and his brother Marvin: "Bush did coke at Camp David when his father was President, and not just once either."

that's just as credible as the claim itself.
his arrest for possession of cocaine wasn't though.
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/1999/10/18/cocaine/
this isn't the only source of that incident either. but his other mental ailments dwarf his alleged cocaine addiction, such as his alcoholism (before he was reborn), his megalomania, his living in a faith-based world instead of reality, his dyslexia, his thinking laws and rules don't apply to him.

Alright, let's list the amount of arrogance in this thread, shall we?
1) The outright wishes of many that anyone should die a horrible death.
---- Very mature, all of you. "Let's wish death upon a man because we disagree with him!" A man named Ghandi would be ashamed.
2) "Bush is stupid, and only got into Yale because of his daddy"
---- His father was not President. Let me repeat that: Not President. He was a virtual unknown in the political field at the time, and had family wealth from well before the family joined into the oil business. Much like the Kennedy family, and countless others.
---- Do not compare your SAT scores to his and be proud, because the scale today has been inflated to promote mediocracy, which is the effect of Liberal idealogies prevailing in the classroom.
Personally, if I had any direct contact with any of you, I would be ashamed enough for the both of us. As it is, I am just ashamed of you.

You liberals are so predictable, it's laughable! Instead of admitting that Kerry made, at the very least, a major political faux pas with that statement, you insult the intelligence of everyone with any common sense that had to laugh out loud when hearing that statement! One of the main reasons liberal ideology is so unpopular is the attitude that anyone that disagrees with them couldn't have rational reasons for it, they must just be stupid.
For the record, I know what he meant, and I would imagine most conservatives also knew, but he said it in such a politically charged environment, and so awkwardly, that we'd be nuts not to jump on it! And that's nothing compared to the liberals jumping on Bush for his language-challenged statements.

Agreed, Bush can be "language-challenged" (in politically correct parlance). The point I originally made was that Bush was not as stupid as the original poster was making out, particularly in comparison to Kerry, as a comparison of their grades at Yale proves out. If the media were to be believed, Bush must have an 80 IQ and Kerry 200. That is not the case from available objective criteria.

How many times has a major liberal politician gone around and repeated the stupid shit Bush has said? I've never seen it ONCE! I've seen Cheney and Bush among others tear down Kerry because of that statement. It was repeated way more during the campaign than "The benefits of helping somebody is beneficial."

Not only was I reffering to your personal point about the "Bush legacy", I was also addressing the far more ignorant masses than either of us who have drawn a straight-line correlation between H.W. Bush and George W. Bush's Yale entrance, ie, Bush got into Yale because of his daddy.
I would normally ask what college you attended, and what degree you have, but I have restrained myself so far.
He got into Yale because of his legacy. 35 people in Bush's extended family attended Yale. Prescott Bush, his grandfather was a lengendary Bonesman who virtually never left the campus. H.W.
