Yay! I just built my first computer! I'm officially a tech geek now. :)

I'm typing this from it right now. If you're seeing it, I must've got it right.

If you're seeing this text in red, then my computer has just become self-aware and is plotting my demise. :(

Next to wanting Aliens to come, my next wish would be to have computers take over the world. This is an auspicious day!

congratulations! welcome to the world of non-proprietary systems (and yes! if you want to upgrade/change something on your own, you can do it without voiding ANYONE'S warranties! unfortuantely this means that you also get less in the way of tech support, but I'm assuming that if you can put it together, you can probably fix it a well; if not, give me a shout if anything goes wrong, besides a worldwide takeover initiated by your computer - i'm still working on the non-sentience fix)
