Since my last post in Ankhmet's "Overthrow the Cult of Tink" thread, I haven't been back to it. I don't have to go back, I know what's there -- I'm not even remotely curious.
Suffice it to say that while I harbor no ill will toward any of the actual people involved in it, I reserve the right to express my opinion in an open forum. That opinion was, and will always be, that worship of any human being is folly, and further, worshiping them merely because they post quasi-erotic photographs of themselves is, well, even more so.
BUT, as I said in that thread, you're all more than welcome to any kind of persona here -- as am I. So worship who you choose.
However, I do regret one post, and that was the "FUCK TINK" post. Regardless of IC/OOC persona, that was WAY out of line, and for that I apologize.
It simply doesn't matter that she represents one kind of thing that's really wrong with the world (especially the West). In fact, it doesn't matter WHAT I think at all. I HAVE NO RIGHT TO DIRECTLY ASSAULT ANOTHER FORUM USER IN THAT WAY. I have admonished others for flaming before, and I fell victim to a combination of my beliefs, my mood and my anger -- all of which conspired within me to print that inappropriate and altogether offensive post.
Once again, my apologies to Fairy TInk Arisen -- and her alone -- for that outburst. Regardless of my opinion of you here, you don't deserve that.
