Face it, your either a Ninja or a Pirate. One kills people for money, the other kills people and takes their money, or press gangs them. So your either sailing the high seas, kicking planks and taking parrots, or thorwing sharp bits of metal into peoples soft bits without them knowing, its a fairly basic concept.
Personaly, I think people need to stop being pirates. I mean, its one thing to kill people, but you shouldnt take their money afterwords, I mean, their relatives might need it or something. At least ninjas take money from OTHER people to kill people.
That being said, pirates ARE cooler than ninjas.

Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't. Plus a throwing knive is just as good as anything a ninja has. Plus Pirates just plain rule. *Wonders off to play Sid Meier's Pirates!*

By the way, Pirates obviously have to replace the Americans, because no one else has any naval anything in the game...

The problem with being either a Ninja or a Pirate, is that in order to profit from coercion/force, you have to be willing to risk getting your butt whupped by the people you're attacking. Much better to be a *politician.* That way, you can extort wealth (taxes) and power (authority) from people, without fear of retaliation. It's all *legal,* and since you're the law, the vast majority of armed power (police, military) is working for you. It's good to be the king. >evil grin<

In a world of just Ninjas, Pirates, and Monkeys, even if you managed to be none of those, and to be a king, you'd have no one on your side... ninjas and pirates don't work for the king (except when it benefits them anyway) and monkeys...well...
