I've always played the opposite game where you have to try and find something with a single result (not including results from a dictionary, thesaurus etc)...

Google Whack (http://www.googlewhack.com/) actually is a site dedicated to two-word searches that find one result.

I tried that one before, but I do not really now whether it should count as a noun, it is a common verb as well...

So an abreviation made by dropping all but the initial letters counts (com) but one made by retaining letters other than just the initial ones does not (WWW and US) hum? that makes a lot of sense.
Either all noun abbreviations count or none do.

No, because com is a noun in another context. Its an abbreviation for various things, but its also a paid advertisement.

Which also is an abbreviation, by the way (of commercial). So some abbreviations, if they come into common usage like WWW are not OK, but others that almost no one has ever heard of are OK. Just give yourself the Koala (which is not a bear) next time without bothering to post the challenge.

When searching for "US$" you oviously only get results for "us", which is too common a pronoun.

So I should get the same sort of result if I search for useless then, however this only gives 12,300,000. Google is smarter than that.
