Sonata Arctica lyrics?
I've been reading some of the songs lyrics(as opposed to just listening to musical godliness), and been trying to figure out some of the more personally confusing.
We all know full moon is about a werewolf, and Kingdom for a heart is well, a guy who would give a kingdom for a heart. A few of my hypothesis on others:
Unopened: A letter he cant read? What could this letter be? It also starts off as almost a response to critics. Maybe its an american letter he cant read?
Destruction Preventer: Seems like an anti-nuke song, but maybe something else?
I want out: A suicidal song? I am confused.
Black Sheep: Wtf?
Land of the free: I dunno, anti-dictator? Confused
Sing in silence: A christian girl who has sex pre-marriage?
By the way, Blank File is the funniest song. Ever.
EDIT: And who the hell is this Dana chick they always sing about?

I can't remember their lyrics but I don't think I want out is suicidal. It's about stupid "rules" about how everyone should live their lives and that he doesn't want to live by what others say. You know, get a degree, get married, 2 children, dog and a huge house loan.

Coincidentally, I was listening to it right as I read this post :P
I dont think its suicidal either, but how else would he be "Getting out"?

Dana: Irish (Druid) Goddess of the Moon, Huntress

I don't think so. I don't think that Goddesses have surnames...
I believe that the writer has known this girl (the name could be made up). He has tried to protect her but she keeps her old habits (drugs maybe) and he has lost the faith. The name is not mentioned in every song but they do have a lot of quite similar lyrics. I'm not a fan so I don't remember the names of the songs. I just hear their music in radio and bars.
Getting out of the "system". Not necessarily by suicide. By refusing to follow the rules -> free your mind. (pure guess)

I'm happy that heavier (in general) music is popular around here. Don't have to listen just cheesy pop songs (or the worst -country) while driving a car (as only radio works...)
