Me, I would go back to the Revolutionary war and give Washington some M-16's. Then I would sit back and watch the chaos.

How 'bout u guys?

I'd go back to Saturday just before stores closed and buy some black forest cake to put in our fridge.
Then i'd wait for sunday night to come along when I'll have a craving for black forest cake (so my intuition tells me) and happily eat my cake.
:p

I go back about a month and make sure my manager understood that I'm not available to work on the night of the 3rd or 4th of July...maybe one or the other, but not both.

I'd go back to one day before I was born and ensure my father didn't live to see my birth. Then I'd leave a couple of notes to myself about where I need to be at what times, and what things I should do.

(Best of all would be if I could start from Day 1, but with the knowledge I have today.)

hah... yeah, that would be hilarious... they wouldn't even get them to fire. You'd need to bring back a lot of ammo.

I'd take back the plans for this gun (http://www.4to40.com/images/earth/science/machinegun/james_puckle.jpg), and give it to the British in the area.

Definitely Kate Hudson... She is married to that guy from the Black Crowes, but if I would have met her first....I would have done Kate Hudson...

p.s. If you don't know who she is, look her up, truly amazing...

There was a book like that but it was the civil war and AK-47s
Me I'd set it so my family became unquestioned rulers of the world.

Why on earth would you support the British when the greatest nation in the world was about to be born???

But the greatest nation ever lost that war? ;)

Because I'm British, and hold slightly different views as to which is the greatest nation in the world is. :D

Well sure, taking back M-16s without any ammo would be a disaster. Gunpowder technology wasn't advanced enough to MAKE new M-16 bullets so they'd be stuck with what they brought. Whereas the puckle gun was made round about that time and so could have locally manufactured weaponry.

Actually, i hate time traved. PARADOXES! aah AAH! they make me get confused trying to work out how to resolve them, but you can't! influenceing yourself in any way, shape or form will cause a paradox and split the universe and...

oh what the heck, i'd win the bloody lottery when that triple rollover happened last year. THat and ifnd out the best way to get my feelings across to a certain someone and let myself know what those ways are. i'm a wuss when it comes to telling people how i feel!

Don't show them burst fire, and I bet they wouldn't need very much ammo. Of course, enough ammo, but regardless...it would not take long to figure out how to fire an M16. Heck...make sure and bring an SPR for each one of Morgan's men...

I'd go back to 3 mya and detonate a few hundred nuclear weapons, then sit back and watch the universe be torn apart by the resulting paradox.

"Sound of Thunder" paradoxes really raise some questions. Perhaps humans would be mutants with massive IQ's and colonizing galaxies? Or worshippers of radiocative matter? Or dead?

Me, I'd save the dinosaurs from extinction. Who knows where they would have gone from there.

I was thinking of wiping out Australopithecus and similar genera before they had a chance to evolve into us.

I was thinking of blowing up the K-T asteroid, but I decided that too few people would realize how a paradox would result from that. (As humans would never have the chance to evolve.)
