Its a long shot, but hey, I'm from England but I'm moving to Canada in August, I'm 17 and starting my first year at Queen's university in the fall. Are there any other people here starting at Queen's university in Ontario this fall?

I'm not, but my sister is starting her first year there come September (she is taking philosophy). Interestingly enough, the son of one of my professors (I just finished my first degree at a uni in Nova Scotia) is going to Queen's but spending his first year in the UK.
Anyway, I am sure you will love Kingston. It is one of the best cities in the country, in my opinion. It used to be our national capital, but we were afraid that the Americans would invade (which the did, in 1812, during the only war between our two countries) so we moved it to Ottawa. Anyway, Kingston is great. It is also home to the Royal Military College (where my older brother went), as well as a federal pennitentiary for our worst criminals. Personally, I hope my sister goes for an RMC boy rather than a pen boy :P.
Kingston is very scenic. The trees there are huge, as are the squirrels.
What's the difference between a Queen's girl and a bowling ball?
You can only get 3 fingers in a bowling ball.
If you had to, you could eat a bowling ball.
Bowling balls don't whine when you're finished using them.
It's bad form to toss your bowling ball in the gutter.
What's the difference between a Queen's girl and a 747?
Not everyone's been in a 747.
How many Queen's students does it take to change a light bulb?
One - he holds the bulb and the world revolves around him.

So true... But it is still a great school. Every now and then a little arrogance is good.
...At least I think so, and I am always right :P
And stop picking on Queen's girls... They count my sister now! ...Although the lightbulb thing does capture her attitude quite remarkably...

Depends on how early you call it school, we start kindergarten at age 5 (or exceptionally 4), but actual school starts at age 7.
if you're english, why in god's name are you using the americanism: "fall"?
the answer is: you're a traitor. a bally yank. :p

Because it says so on my uni entrance form, and to avoid any confusion

Nope. 'Fall' is actually an English archaicism. It was the commonly used term for autumn in the UK around the C16th. Like several other words commonly perceived to be Americanisms, such as 'skillet', they are in fact survivors from the time of the Pilgrim Fathers which despite dying out in the Old World continue to live in the New.
