Is it Easier for an Idiot to Become President, or a President to Become Idiotic?

I recently thought about this, and I have no idea. It's a serious topic. It shows how badly we all vote. An idiot can become president, while a president can become idiotic.
Thoughts?

Either is equally likely to happen, depending on the man, the forces around him, and the forces behind him.

No matter who you elect, or how well they might perform, every man that's ever sat in the Oval Office has been called an "idiot" by someone who didn't like his policies, personality, style, political affiliation, etc. etc etc.
Example: Jimmy CArter was Nuclear physicist (not an easy job, mentally), and many who found his policies distasteful called him an idiot.
Jerry Ford was awkward in public, and people called HIM an idiot. JFK? Yup. Nixon? Of Course! Eisenhower, Truman, FDR, Hoover, Coolidge, Wilson...

The REAL question you should be asking is:
Is it easier for a troll to post, or for a post to troll?
I personaly think its the latter, since sometimes posts inadvertantly troll...

you cannot judge a president vby "idiocy", BECAUSE THAT u is pimoly not not true. OK so he may have seen arried by his gathers, republican "wild" side" but he is more of a hard liner than any of goerge snr voters..........
It's easier for a president to become idiotic because I don't think the american people are that stupid (to elect an idiot for president) but they really can't touch the man once he's in office.
although EASIER for a president to become idiotic an idiot can become president...example: Gee Dubya C.E.O. and Chief

You'd have to be an idot to run for president, once you win you are even more idotic.

It's easier to not care. An idiot can become President, (Dubya, Harding) but a President can become an idiot (Reagan, Nixon, Clinton, Jackson) just as easily.

Except with Reagan, he became an idiot before he became president, what with the bullshit switching of idealogies just to gain support.

Idiot become president. Anyone with a cynical mind will realise that the only people that can become president are those that the rich want - Idiots are easier to manipulate. How do you think George Bush, an incredibly stupid failure became president? Not on his abilities thats for sure. His daddy maybe.

I believe Gepetto is an illuminati kind of thing. Not quite the illuminati, I dont reckon such a rumour would have been spread by any such group. I dont believe in anything quite so sinister, but its people like Rupert Murdoch who have real power I reckon. Money will get power, no doubt. Though Murdoch isnt really political, that makes it make more sense. Anyone on my lines or have I lost it?

I can agree with this. You really do have to have some sort of insanity to want to be President. Who wants that sort of crushing responsibility? Better to be a Senator where you can have power and less pressure.
You should elaborate on the "Myrth" option. :p
Really though, it's easier not to care. I don't, for example. About this thread. Ciao. ;)

Gepetto (sp?) refers to Pinnochio's puppeteer. As in, "Bush is just a puppet, who's pulling the strings?" Don't read too much into it.

Enough with the trolling titles and topics, -Everyknowledge-. Make your point without trolling or don't post at all. Got it?
