Good Golly-Wolly! Did Ann just go and plagerize somebody in her latest column? Who would have thought that someone who constantly accuses others of dishonesty could sink to that?

Anne's latest Column:
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/anncoulter/ac20050629.shtml

the December 1993 edition of The Flummery Digest

(scroll to the bottom)

Cases in point?

Ann Coulter, talking about what taxpayers have funded:

"A photo of a newborn infant with its mouth open titled to suggest the infant was available for oral sex."

From The Flummery Digest: "The title of a photo of a newborn infant with its mouth open suggested that the infant was available for oral sex."

Ann : "A photo of a woman breastfeeding an infant, titled 'Jesus Sucks.'"

The Flummery Digest: "One otherwise tame photograph of a woman breastfeeding an infant was titled 'Jesus Sucks.'"

Ann: "A show titled 'DEGENERATE WITH A CAPITAL D' featuring a display of the remains of the artist's own aborted baby."

The Flummery Digest: "'Degenerate with a Capital D'...included 'Alchemy Cabinet' by Shawn Eichman, featuring the remains of the artist's own aborted baby."

Ann: "Performance of giant bloody tampons, satanic bunnies, three-foot feces and vibrators."

The Flummery Digest: "[T]he performance art of Johanna Went...relies upon props such as giant body tampons, satanic bunnies, three-foot turds, and dildos."

Coinky-dinky? She just happened to pick out the same examples in the same order and use almost identical prose?

Unlikely.

No biggy-wiggy?

Maybe.

But let's all remember what Annie told us we should believey-weevie about Bill Clinton in her first book, that seemingly minor transgressions point to larger patterns of deception.

This would be a good example about the dangers of infering causation from correlation. It appears that both writers were describing a common item, hence the similarity.

That said, she's horse and has man shoulders, that combined with her rock hard implants and abrasive personallity should serve as effective, and relatively foolproof, birthcontrol (unless she gets drunk at the Kennedy compound).

But of course. So when I write a poem about breakfast cereal that reads,

"Milled corn, sugar, malt flavoring, high fructose corn syrup, salt, iron, niacinamide, sodium ascorbate and ascorbic acid (vitamin C), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thiamin hydrochloride (vitamin B1), vitamin A palmitate, folic acid, vitamin B12, and vitamin D. To maintain quality, BHT has been added to the packaging",

you just gotta know it was that both writers, myself and somebody at Kellogg's, were describing a common item, hence the similarity. Plagiarism? Please, what is this, the Dark Ages?

Heh.

Honestly Sumamba, I just happened upon it by chance last week... was looking for photos to alter, and found the page for the 'strap-on veterans for truth' via Robert Anton Wilson's site.

But I dig 'im anyway.

Don't take anything Ann Coulter says seriously...or Pat Robertson...or Pat Buchanan, or Jerry Falwell, or Michael Moore...

The only man you can trust...is Jon Stewart.

Looking at the exerpts both the Mr. Ed in drag and Flummery seem to be doing exactly as you describe. Writing a list of contents. A description of what something is, and a title. I would imagine the exact same list of items would bear striking resemblences irregaurdless of the publisher. Hateful, and shrill as she might be, it's hard to hate on her because of this, at least with what's been put forth as the most damning evidence. Not everyone who names a rose, and notes it sweet aroma is plagiarizing Shakespear.
