I just wondered how many people are going to watch it? Whether you think its a good idea? Will it help? And how big a thing it was in different countries?

Not me. I'm only about 45 minutes away from Philadelphia, but I'm not planning to attend. From what I've heard I'm not all that interested in the bands, and I already know that sub-saharan Africa is a mess. I don't need to raise my awareness of that fact.

It is a non event here (Brazil). Not in the news, no mention of it at all. I only know about it because I watch the BBC World Service and check the BBC web site frequently. My wife asked me this morning what it was when she saw a report about it on the BBC.

I think that the whole idea of this is absurd, no matter what we do for these african countries, they still manage to end up in more debt, and raising taxes won't do anything.

Roger Waters back with Pink Floyd. Yeah, I'm gonna watch that if it comes on the TV. I'm in Cali and poor (and as of today, homeless...yay me...) so that's my best bet.

I just discovered why it is not mentioned here. It is being covered by MTV Brasil! Whoopee. The only tv chanel that advertises for itself exclusively on itself. Well we get live coverage from 09:00 tomorrow local time. (For reference it is 15:33 at the moment.)
