I swear, people always talk about religions(specifically Christianity) trying to scare people into believing in God....

Well, let me tell you; religion is almost starting to scare me into atheism. I mean, if people are this CRAZY, it can't be true.

I said almost, so, please don't try to "convert"(or would it be unconvert?) me to something.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to convert anyone or anything. Please try not to do so as well.

To be honest, it has the opposite effect on me. I'm most certainly not a Christian, nor a member of any organized religion, but to see people being so passionate about religion makes me realize how utterly boring our world would be if we where all atheist. Passion is what makes us human. Religious, in my opinion, is always better than non-religious, whatever you believe. Except Scientology, of course. That's some weird shit. The less Scientologists the better :p .

The Catholic Church's position on this issue is like the Bibles. The Lord will come again like a thief in the night.

Some Protestants try to predict the end of the world, but it's useless. The Adventists predicted the end of the world would be in 1872. Nothing happened. Many more predicted the end of the world would be 2000. Nothing happened.

If you became a Christian because you thought the world was going to end tomorrow, you'd be doing it for all the wrong reasons. Don't let these people put a damper on your view of Christianity in general.

She got the gun several months ago, shortly after she found her five kittens beaten and beheaded on her walkway

Good move.

You know, whose life would you really value more... five kittens? Or some dude who would beat up (and behead) five kittens?

Yeah. I'd shoot that fucker and not feel the least bit bad.

I was actually thinking of how funny it would be if a group came forward and fulfilled thier end time prophecys, atleast for that group.

Seriously, one has no idea which way this group is going to go. I don't mind the whole thing of you and your religion, but making others feel like prisoners in thier own town is taking things way too far.

Well, it was more of a jab at religion in general, not specifically Christianity(I am a Christian), and I didn't join because of hell...

Now that I think about it, I should have found a couple more insane religions/sects to stick in there...

Aske PETA about that first question, I'll bet they'll answer you.

Well, if a person could do that to an animal, that was "possessed" by an evil spirit, but not doing anything harmful or wrong; what do you think they could(and possibly would) do to you when they decided that YOU were possessed because you are objecting to their way of life.
