What's the normal July/August weather where you live?

In NJ it ranges between 30 and 39 degrees celsius, that's between about 85 degrees and 102 degrees in real life, and is very humid during the day. The early evenings often bring thunderstorms. Nighttime is less hot, but still very humid. Man I love NJ!

Either overcast, or between 20-30C where I am. VERY humid at night, but colder.

Early morning fog, rolling back to the ocean then burning off by noon or 1pm, cool evenings, sometimes getting a little cold. Sometimes cloud cover will roll in for a few days. Warm days, never much higher than 90-95 degrees F, usually around 85. I don't know from C.

Summers are nice here, which makes up for our lousy winters. Highs about 80F (27C) lows around 57F (14C). It rains a fair amount, but this is the only time of year it almost never snows.

Humid and hot, when you can see the heat come out of your car and off the streets.

hot and humid in Tennessee

yesterday the rain was pretty warm... i walked outside to leave work and rain had just begun.

usually when there's rain, the weather cools... but cripes, it had to be over 90 and with the rain it was humid as hell... we had humidity yesterday of something like 75%.

today the humidity was only around 65%. lol

one inactive minute spent outside... and you start sweating.

open up the car door... instant sweat from the heat blast.

one thing that pisses me off is this:

when it's in the 40s in January and pouring down cold-ass rain, such crappy weather is often accompanied by strong winds.

when it's summer and the temps are in the 90s and it feels like it's over 100 with the god-awful humidity, there's almost NEVER any wind, let alone a nice little cool breeze to help you feel less miserable.

I can beat that. I've seen asphalt MELT here. Weather's usually 'round 100 'ere. August, it starts cooling off slowly, but June/July is when it peaks.

Usually 75-85 F, but less than 70 F at night. Usually not too muggy. The advantage of living in the mountains.

Centigrade 12 to 18 degrees maximum 2 to 10 degrees minimum. Grey, overcast, little wind, a lot of rain. But then it is mid winter here. (January is glue your sandals to the road as the tarmac grabs you weather. Bare feet = second degree burns.)

Summer in Rimouski.

During the day:
Very high variations, depending on the direction of the wind.
Wind from the west: shitty weather, storms, mild temperatures, 25C to 35C
Wind from the east (or no wind): nice, few clouds, 20C to 30C
Wind from the north: clear sky, cold, 15C to 25C

During the night:
We get string winds as soon as the sun sets, and temperature is constant at 15-20C.

We get fog banks that last 3-4 days sometimes. But we also get the most gorgeous sunsets of the planet.

Summer is short, but automn is long and colorful.
The worse months here are april, may. It's like nature tries to whip your ass with a massive moodswing attack.

Being by Lake Erie, we get two seasons, summer and winter. Usually they are like this:

Summer: Burning hot with little rain. Quite often sunny, but not windy unless the weather is changing. 80's-90's daily. This year has been rather hot, so most days test 85-90.

Winter: Bitter cold, heavy snow and wind. Cloudy often, with freak cold snaps well in to April (We had snow in late April!). November is rainy, with snow starting usually in December. Temps from -10 to 30's, usually around 10-15 in December/January.

Fall and Spring: Usually short, with little gradual transition. Rainy and cloudy.

better than 20 straight days of 100+F degrees and no rain. This week it's been around 110-115F, no rain and a good chance of hot weather tomarrow. Usually we're pretty consistent until the monsoon. Then it's anything; a pleasant 90+ with rain one minute then 117 and sunny the next.

Here in the greater Seattle are, it's sunny with puffy clouds and 75 degrees Fahren-- whup, hang on. Check that, it's 64 and overcast with a breeze out of the no-- nope, wait a minute. Okay, it's 90 degrees with a relative humidity that, while not like, say, Kobe in Japan, is high enough to make you think you're inside a human lung because of an obstinate high pressure are that -- aw nuts, hang on again....

Okay, now it's raining. Hard. Thunder, lightning, the whole enchilada. Not rain like they get in Texas, but hard enough to make you seek shelter...and it's never warm rain on this side of the Cascades. Warm rain'll fall in Yakima or Spokane, but you can count how often in the summer on a retired shop teacher's hand. Mostly you get high winds like Spokane did last week. Sustained 77mph winds without a minor hurricane/tornado is almost unfair -- you should get to see something meteorologically interesting for the price of repairing your roof or replacing your tree-crushed car.

So the short answer to "what's the weather like in July/August" here in the Pacific Northwest is "wait a few hours -- it'll change." Though of course, all patters have their exceptions -- and if we all keep burning coal, those'll become the norm.

Dry and sunny/a bit cloudy, mostly. Overcast for days every once in a while leading to thuinderstorms. (52% of day in a year are overcast here.) Highs of about 30C, which is considered absolutely sweltering.

North Pole, Alaska

Temperature/weather's never really the same from year to year with global warming and other different variables, but I'd say when it's not dry and full of smoke from the nearby fires, it's either a clear sunny day  or raining with some thunderstorms. Very easy to get dehydrated. Average temp is probably 65F-95F. (big gap, but this area is full of extremes because it's in the middle of nowhere ;) )

It's almost 3am here, and according to the weather website it's:
Temperature = 27C
Relative Humidity = 88%

And that's probably the coolest it'll get for the next 2 months. Tomorrow it's meant to be a lovely sunny day, which is something. There's been massive thunderstorms here over the last 3-4 weeks, aside from 2 days of sun last Tuesday and Wednesday.
Here's the prediction for next week:
