The Ottoman Empire or Poland are good, close to the center of things, and definitly going to be involved in alot of conflicts, since both are close to Russia and not on good terms with them.

Not to be a jerk but Netherlands was actually one of the more powerful naval powers, after Britain and Spain (and arguably the United States). They at this time controlled Dutch Guyana (now Suriname) and had exclusive trade rights with Japan. History lovers also brought this up on the invisionfree forum.

They were important, but they were not a 'Great Power'.
The Great Powers were (as is generaly agreed upon by just about everybody) Great Britain, France, Prussia, Austria, and Russia, IE: The big players in the Napoleonic Wars.

I did not say they were a Great Power.I will do some research on the Dutch so my Empire is accurate.

i didnt post for one day so you oust me?! besides it was rather hard reasearching the ottoman empire(i read over 3,000 pages by now) and working...im sorry if i cant spend all of my time on NS but i do have other commitments...now can you please change me back to the ottoman empire as im about ready for a post and a rather dramatic one at that.

The Ottoman Empire has surrender to the joint Austria-Russia offensive. The Empire has been divided, with Austria taking most of the European portion and Russia taking the Middle East and Egypt as its own, with the exception of the Holy Land which is under the joint govonorship of the Papal States and the Orthodox Church.
The Ottoman Empire itself now consists only of Turkey and Syria, which it requested that it retain.

All parties concerned are, at present, negotiating a non-agression pact and possible a mutual-defence alliance.

This just in:

Many on General dont RP, so this thread has been moved away from its target audience.

I wouldnt mind as much if there had been some sort of explanation, but simply randomly moving a topic is not accetpable.
