IM curious. Anybody think that people are regularly 'taken' by aliens and have horrible sexual experiments performed on them?

I personaly think that roughly %95 of all abductions are faked, the result of mind-altering drugs, or pranks. ESPECIALY the ones that go on TV. The remaining %5 are the people that end up traumatised for life and go to mental institutions.

I think all alien abductions are faked, why would aliens travel million of light years to ram probes up our asses, and to mutilate our cows, and draw funky patterns in our crops.

Why would a society advanced enough to travel massive interstellar distances need to perform physical experiments, especially without some kind of sedative/anesthesia? They would have known of Earth for a while if they can keep visitng and finding it, and they could study us without a primitive autopsy.

I think that a small percetange of the claims are legit, but the rest are just remembering something from a lucid dream, outright lying, or are insane. However, I don't believe that they abduct anyone to probe their asses, or cows, or the like. Other medical experiments, sure. I could see that.

How come whenever someone is abducted they always get probed? Are aliens so hard up that they'd probe anybody they can get their tractor beam on? I'd like to hear from some who got dumped by an alien. Beamed up and beamed right back down again. "I don't know why they didn't want to probe me but they couldn't have been less rude about it. I'm going home to watch TV with some Ben and Jerry's." I think I'd be more likely to believe that.

That would be a rational human conclusion I think. But who knows how an alien would think. Do I believe aliens have visited Earth? Yes I do. But to what extent and what they are up to is up for a debate. I dont believe 99% of the people that say they have been abducted. There are a case here and there that sounds credible. Which makes me really wonder some times. The "fire in the sky" case is one in particular that I actually think may have happened. But without seeing it myself I will never know.

One theory is that ancient aliens "seeded" earth long ago and are coming back to check our development and such. Probing? A tad extreme IMO.

I personally prefer the theory that all aliens come from the planet Hemp.

The funny thing is they probably are real, and that they're debating whether we exist.

Well, if I was an evil alien spacefaring race I might abduct hillbillies and perform medical experiments on them too. What else am I going to do? Full saucer invasion? The government can't justify the cost. Sigh.

If your an evil alien race you dont abduct rednecks, you've got way too many laser cannons to discharge.

Its my opinon, perhaps totally unfounded, that the aliens are attempting to stop a major pandemic of prostate cancer from spreading across the world.

There's no sign of it outwardly, so the aliens must routinly probe someone in the areas that've deemed most likely to show the first signs of this prostate cancer (The south and redneck ville) and do a prostate check.

Its for our own good, and the good of the species. So when you see that spaceship flying over you, and the beam of light comes down and you go up, remeber -

The thing about aliens is that they're aliens. Who knows how their minds work?

I'm trying to construct an alien race right now, and I'm still getting something that approaches human... and it feels WRONG.

Our minds are built by several million (Okay, hundred thousand) years of evolution, and some 10,000 (10.000 for you brits) years of sentience, and some 5,000 (5.000) years of civilization.

Just an example, people in China and people in, say, Topeka, Kanses think differently.

Whose to say that a race of pure herbavores, with no sense of prey or predator, can't exist and develop technological society?

That makes them real.

The Aliens require genetic material.
Its possible thier own species has hit an evolutionary wall, and the reproductive rates are slowing, so...they are borrowing our gentic material to enhance, or use surrogate donors for inseminations, or transplantations.

Ever hear about how scientists use rabbits for injecting embryos, becuase rabbits are considered "the universal carriers"?
They can carry other species of embryos, and often even bring them to term.

So..what if you didnt need the rabbit..just some of its genetic material?
Well..first..you'd need to catch a rabbit.

I think something similar may be happening with humans, and our likely alien encounters.

What mathematical proof?

If 1000 alien abductions are claimed..and 999 of them are either faked, or simply incorrect, then that means that 1 of them was true.

That makes them real.

Mathematically, its entirely possible to have been visited on earth, by aliens.

That, if aliens existed, that there has been a ****ing load ammount of time for, even at a measly 5% of the speed of light, for them to have touched and colonized every single star system in the galaxy.

Not mathematical PROOF..I never said proof...just that its possible.

For instance....

In the Milky Way, alone there are something like 250 billion stars.
Lets say that 0.001 percent of those stars are the same as our Sun, and are capable of providing the required temperatures for life to occur.

That gives us 250,000,000 stars, like our own sun.

Now, lets go further and say that out of that number..that 0.001 percent of those stars have planetary systems around them.
well that would give us 250,000 systems.

If we go further and say that the number of planetary systems that have even rudimentary life on them is 0.001 percent.....25,000

Now lets say that out of those planets with life...that 0.001 percent of them are advanced enough to acheive interstellar travel.....

The number is 25.

That leaves 25 advanced civilizations with the capability to reach earth.

And thats just a possible number from our own Galaxy.
