Many of you have been on NS in different incarnations, but your current join date doesn't reflect that. So, how long have you really been on NS?

Sometime towards the end of January, 2003.

hrmph. I've actually never had this, my primary nation, die... the SPECIFIC join date is the 30th of January, 2004.

I've not been deleted/deated or banned yet, so I still have but one avatar.

My join date is also accurate. I've had one puppet deleted (it was my only one really...I've started others, but never posted with them, and let them expire).

I'm still in my first incarnation so the answer is self explanatory :)

Cynigal (my first nation, now a puppet) was created sometime between Nov 2001 and June 2002. (I was working for a Laptop Computer manufacturer between those dates so I had internet access and remember playing the first Issues then...)

I chose 2002 by accident but I actually joined in 2003. I used to have another nation and very rarely posted with it. I eventually let my other nations die and kept this one (I liked the direction I had gone with the daily issues).

A few years ago, I'd've been so all over that.

But I finally got over the last remaining vestigial bit of 'brand-loyalty', and had an under-employed pal bild me a sweet pimped-out badass PC running Windows XP...and I've been one happy camper ever since.

My original nation, which I only posted under about 4 or 5 times (stupid original server), was started in late '03, probably around November or December. It could have been as far back as September or October though. I could have found the exact date, but I got the link from another forum, and the thread it was on has since been deleted.

I never posted on the forums as Cynigal... just played the Game w/o RPing. My main focus was maintaining a Libertarian Police State. :headbang: :mp5:

The mods couldn't tell me how old Cynigal was on ressurection because there is no start-date code in the XML - which they say means OLD. I can find one local archive of my Cynigal flag (now Syniks' flag) with a create date of 2/23/2003 2:48AM... :eek: but I know I joined before then. :p

Well it was no earlier than November 2002, I believe. It's possible, but damn odd. (mentally) Reviewing my employment history at Itronix, I worked there from Nov 2001 to June 2002. After a layoff, I worked there again later (can't find the dates right now), but I don't recall having internet access then. (I worked 4 different jobs there in 3 different departments - only one of which gave me Access) By September 2002 I was working as a Barista at a Borders Bookstore with no ISP. I moved to Indiana May 2003.

Weird. I remember the friend who got me to join - a TS with a wickedly sick sense of humor who, after making a Libertarian Police State called me and told me to join.

It was a Borders that I got my pre-release "Review" copy of JG... I worked there from Sept 2002 until February 2003 IIRC.

Maybe the Feb 23 2003 date is accurate... to within a month or two for me to figure out how to make a Flag anyway...

As it is the only truly verifiable thing I've got that can be linked to NS, I'll "claim" Feb 2003 for now.

It says August 10, 2003 on my profile, so I'll go with that date.
