I had a lot of fun playing paintball today. Don't ge me wrong. I don't play as much as I used to and it was good to knock the rust off and bunker people again. Not to mention the exhileration of leaping bodily over big inflatable doritos.

As one might expect, if one were familiar with me, or if someone caught the inference in my title, I got shot in the groin. I had almost forgotten how much that can hurt. I have a welt on my nether parts!

Oh yeah, I've had that happen to me before. I think some people aim for them.

That's why I like Lazer Quest and Q-Zar. You can't be injured by these laser shots, they're as powerful as a TV remote control.

I've been playing for over 8 years now, and every time is more fun than the last! I'm hoping to get back into tournament play, that's something I miss.

I've been thinking of getting a paintball gun...don't know how I'd get it past my parents though. Any cost estimates?

Wow. A guy with the nation name 'Automagfreek' plays paintball. Never would've guessed. :p

I have an automag, btw. :)

I do. :D

I was thinking you'd be fun to play against... For the next year or so at least, I'll need to bring protective equipment :D

(if, that is, I was to do such a thing which is exceedingly unlikely.)

Har Har Har. :p

I have a ULE 'Mag that I've built for over 2 years, and with all the parts I've put into it the thing retails for over $600.

I bought an Ion a few months ago, and I absolutly love it. I'd definatly recommend one.

$30 - $1300. It all depends on how you want to play, and what kind of reliability and capability you're willing to afford.

A good entry-level marker is the Tippman Model 98 custom(Now called the Custom Pro). It's a good marker and very upgradeable.

Agreed. Go with the Tippmann 98 or A5 if you want an inexpensive marker that will last you a long time. Stay away from Spyders if you can.

If you want to move into the $300 range, get an Ion. The 98 retails for a little over $130 IIRC, and the A5 is a bit more expensive.
