And no, Tenacious D isn't the best artist, but Tribute is the greatest and best song in the world. It even says so in the song, so you can't argue with it.
* I don't actually think that Tribute is the greatest and best song in the world, Queen made the song that fits that spot.

Everyone knows Dana Lyon's "Cows With Guns" is the best song ever. :p
Queensryche: Silent Lucidity.
Bar none.

No, I didn't. this is because I would much rather post empty-headed bollocks instead of thinking.
What do you take me for?

Actually, it explicitly states "this is not the greatest song in the world, no, this is only a tribute". So ha ha, you lose.

It's a common expression. You know, if someone disagrees with you about something, you've never wondered if they were reading/hearing/seeing the same thing as you? I'm sorry if you took offense.

I didn't take offence, I was just hoping you would say, "yes, actually, that is what I thought. This is NSGeneral, after all." :) ;) :D

"Smells Like Teen Spirit"
Impossible to ever say with the incredible variety of genres to pick from, going back centuries, but "Comfortably Numb" by Floyd and of course "Stairway to Heaven" by Zep are up there, for the modern era. "Whale and Wasp" by Alice in Chains is maybe the most beautiful composition of its length I've heard. "YYZ" by Rush, and their other instrumentals, are about as technically accomplished as you'll ever hear (especially from a three piece). Impossible to really say though, I'd struggle to make a top 500 list in descending order, because there'd be 10,000 more I'd try to fit in.
"YYZ" by Rush
Oh my fucking god. That song is incredible.

No doubt. "La Villa Strangiato" and "Leave that thing alone" are the shit, too.

I base that on the fact that nearly EVERYONE has it memorized. Truly. But if you don't care for that one, I'd nominate Bohemian Rhapsody, or American Pie just as quickly, and for the same reason.

I'll second that!
It hurts me to just say one song - so I'll say two :)
One of the currents songs I most love is Go with the flow - Queens of the Stone Age.
But the coolest song ever - then that's definitely Come Together - The Beatles

helter skelter's cool too,...as is almost all of the songs on white album.
Jimi Hendrix - Bold As Love is my nomination, brilliant lyrics, riff and solo.
Taking a moment out from my 2 favorite subjects Religion and Politics.
Since my favorite number is 5, I will list my top 5!
1) My World - Bee Gees
2) Heaven Of Love - (Your's Truely)
3) Please Don't Go - KC & the Sunshine Band
4) Chances - Air Supply
5) The Winner Takes It All - ABBA
What can I say? I'm a mellow kind of guy. Love songs rule supreme for me. Over and out!
