100 years ago a dream came true
100 years ago this Wednesday, a man by the name of Archibald Graham took the field for the New York Giants. He only played 2 innings, but this is a man who is likely familiar to many of you. If you have seen "Field of Dreams," you may recall that Burt Lancaster played a character by the same name. Many believe he was a fictional character, but he in fact really lived and did become a doctor in Chisholm, Minnesota. The Twinkies will be honoring him on Wednesday when they host the Royals and hold "Moonlight Graham Day."

Watch the movie "Field of Dreams." Then you will realize a whole lot more about this man.

Best sports movie ever.
That scene with Moonlight, when he has to cross the gravel... shit, gets me everytime.
It's the best sports/drama novel I've read - Kinsella is amazing.

Even though I know it'll be better than the movie, I'm too lazy to read it.
