2. does he need to, ahm...go? If yes, proceed to (3), if no, proceed to (5)
3. Number one, or number two? If number one, then go to (5), if Number Two, go to (4).
4. Presumably, lacking proper sanitary facilities, Yes. he does, indeed, shit in the woods.
5. Since he doesn't have to take a dump, No. he may urinate if he feels the need, but unless he needs to take a dump, the Pope does not shit in the woods.

Now, if you're trying to say he's a fat, hairy, large, gay man (Colloquially known as a "Bear"), that would probably be slanderous from at least two perspectives:

a) it's insulting to the office of the Pope, since the Catholic Church officially frowns on the practice of men sleeping with other men.

b) it's an insult to Gay men who are not catholic or who may not wish to be grouped with the most conservative Pope in twenty years. Especially, seeing as the newly minted Pope is a kind of skinny german dude, the big, fat, hairy ones.
