Most Active Nations in NS

The Ca-Det
27-06-2005, 03:24
I'm compiling a list of the top 100 nation in NationStates, based on regular activity. It doesn't matter how old or young the nation is, and it is not restricted to forum participation or RPing. Any criteria you can think of qualifies.

This information will later be used to determine the most active player in NS. Please reply with the name of your candidate, and why you think he/she is among the Top 100.

Possibly my nation should be on the list. I have gone from about a 15 post count to one of over 650(and rising) in about twenty days. I also am involved in one of the NS general political parities and the rp region of Qer Tu. I log onto my nation about 5 or 6 time a day to check for TGs. It helps that I have a touch of insomnia which causes me to log onto theses forums at all hours. Not a day goes by that I don’t post something.

I don't know if 1200 posts (to General) in 6 months is "most active" or not, butI do seem to have lapped a couple of people... :p

I have the difficulty of having two parents who think NationStates = anathema. If they catch me logging in, I lose my internet "privileges" for a week. Nevertheless I still manage to log on at least twice a day each day, and post very frequently in the forums (just look at my post count  ). I also do a good deal of RPing and regional recruiting, administrate a forum board for my region, and still find time for the occasional mod report. I ought to win an award for "Most RL Banned Player" if nothing else. :D

No, it wouldn't work for a few reasons:

1) I already finished Political Science during the first semester of last year.

2) The courses I am taking during summer school are American History and Literature, which are difficult to pull off on the forums. (Who responds to a thread about the Articles of Confederation after all?)

How do you determine who is more active between a person who posts 100 times a day on General, a person who makes six or seven chapter-long posts in an RP, a person who write two UN proposals a day, and a person who participates in invasions or defenses all day long?

Spending your whole day indoors in front of the computer during summer is neither healthy nor constructive, but may be indicative of a bigger problem of anti-social behaviour and perhaps an addiction.

Disliking meeting people is something wrong.
We'll have to agree to disagree there, not being social isn't something wrong in my view. Some people love going out, meeting people, having fun etc... some prefer to play computer games, meet people from around the world, debate, write stories and RPs etc... I see it as broadening my horizons.

Spending your whole day indoors in front of the computer during summer is neither healthy nor constructive, but may be indicative of a bigger problem of anti-social behaviour and perhaps an addiction.
Not healthy, I'll agree with you in theory, but I've been doing this, as pointed out, for about a year, and I'm still just as, if not more, healthy than I was. Because I stay at home, I eat properly, three meals, I get the amount of sleep I need to, which I wouldn't if I was out all day meeting friends.
I think its extremely constructive, it encourages me to be creative in my RPs, teaches me about different kinds of people, whats constructive about talking to my friend about the girl he likes? It gets old after the fifth time.
When you say "anti social behaviour" you make me sound like one of the punks who goes around breaking windows and spraying graffiti everywhere.
And if I am addicted, which I most probably am, at least its to something I see as positive, I could be addicted to much worse things in my mind.
