Anyone an Artist?

Im a tshirt designer who has around 20 designs that I need worked on. My current artist lost his equipment and wont be able to do anything. I thought this would be the best place to look for someone who draws on the computer.

Here is basically how I pay.

$5 (USD) per design. Most designs I give you, I will just need a couple changes, but in rare cases, I will need you to draw an entire picture (ooo, thats a lot of work.) If you make the changes, and I dont like it, or see something else that should be added or subtracted, then that still is covered by the 5 dollars.

These can add up, so If your a full time artist, or an artist that doesnt have a job and needs a little extra cash, I'd love to hire you. You can either reply at this post, or email me at alex@shirtstand.com

Swimmingpool. Do you do art design on the computer? :)

And The Downmarching Void, do you have any more examples of your art?

Thanks people.

I'm an artist of sorts. Between ruling the universe and high school, I compose music, write stories, and play on the piano. (quite awfully, too; my neighbors have all moved out. ;)) I don't know if that's the kind of thing you meant. I can't draw, paint, make pottery, or any "traditional" art.

I've also perfected the art of sarcasm — I know just when to use it, and how much. :D

Dad's an artist. He does oil painting and he also creates his own fractals, a special type of computer art using mathematics.

Amazing picture...

Huntaer: Can your father do edits on jpgs and gifs with that mathamatic program?

Soviet Haaregrad: email me with why I should hire you. And have you done anything so far?

Gambloshia: Go ahead and post it here

Czardas: Good luck with all that :)

No offense to you, but there is no way that I would do complete designs plus changes for FIVE DOLLARS a design.

With that said: not a bad deal for design students and hobbyists, but not for professionals.

I'm a performance artist. It's hard to capture what I do on a t-shirt. Unless I fingerpaint in mud on them. :)

Well...considering that you'll probably be making hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars off the designs/tshirts, $5 a design is a pittance.

Like I said, though, it's still an okay deal for someone who is a student that hasn't had much design experience outside school...and it would help flesh out their portfolio.

Im actually just running a small operation. Myth that tshirts make hundreds of thousands. Right now Im actually stuck in a job which I am using to pay for the 5 dollars a design. But your right, for someone who enjoys doing art, getting payed 5 dollars a design to edit some stuff it definetlly not bad.

An Artist?

I haven't met one of those since the incident with the League of Virgins and Buddy Vance in Palomo Grove, California back in 1990. I still keep in touch with Nathan Grillo and Tesla Bombeck, but she's been up in Everville, Oregon for the last couple of days. She claims that Quiddity is becoming unstable again like it did when those amateurs Jaffe and Fletcher trifled with it and almost let the whole of the Iad Uroburos into the Cosm.

It's best you leave the Art to those attempting to rebuild the Shoal and those who know what they're doing.

(Apologies to Clive Barker)

I've got a friend who's a graphic design major. I've seen some of his stuff and it's pretty cool. He could probably use the cash too. If you want, I could contact him for you and see if he's interested.

Edit: I meant computer graphics if it needs clarifying.

Oh, sorry. When I saw "Artist" capitalized, it triggered a responsed based on the books I'm currently reading. I've just finished Clive Barker's The Great and Secret Show and am starting its sequel, Everville. They are, collectively, Barker's "Books of the Art" in which Art refers to the ability to access the dream-sea known as Quiddity more than the standard three times humans are normally allowed to access it: during dreams immediately after 1) birth, 2) your first night with your true love, and C) death.

Terrific books. Didn't mean to spam your legitimate thread though -- just thought some NSers might catch the reference, that's all. Apologies!

I'll try to get in touch with him. It's summer break so I don't see him every week, and I don't know his email address right now. Fortunately, I have other ways of making him talk, heh heh heh... Okay, that was stupid. Seriously, though, I'll try to contact him, and if you haven't heard from me in a week, please remind me because I may have forgotten. :)

Edit: I just sent him a message, but I don't know if he checks that particular forum when it's not the school year. I'll try to think of another way to contact him.

Artist selected. Thank you all who showed interest, but I have already selected an artist. And don't bother further contact for a "what if" situation. I have some back up artists too. Thank you and Good Luck with your art in the future. ;)
