okay, I am getting really addicted to this, goto maps.google.com and use the satelite view, go all over the world and post links...
Whats the best you can get? Can you find area 51? how about lisbon? or Paris? or the pentagon? or those pesky terrorist training camps.....
I find myself spending nights at a time search the world for something I don't know........ that made no sense...
Wait, I thought we were resricted to only the U.S.?
I've known the site for a few months now...

They have a fairly good coverage of Canada, albeit patchy.
There are 4 types of satellite photo resolutions: very high, high, medium and low.
My area is on low definition. :(
But most urban areas show a mix of very high-res and high-res, which is cool.
You can actually see cars and swimming pools in the backyards. One of my friends even used these photos to build some statistics on what's the % of people having swimming pools in the suburbs.
Google maps is a nice tool.
However, there's still one thing missing. When you're in map mode and you zoom , the municipal/city information is lost. Sometimes it can be very confusing, as you have street names but you don't know which city you're looking at.

Texas- largest state capitol building
San Jacinto monument- copied by washinton, only theirs is smaller.
And how hard do you think we had to work to persuade so many people to live in Houston? It's the 4th largest city in the US. This is a place that's been described as L.A. with the climate of Calcutta. And is situated in a swamp one foot above sea level. I bet you can't do that!
I mean what kind of feat is that to convince 4 million Americans that they want to live in a crowded crime-ridden swamp that smells like an oil refinery?
