I was in the kitchen grabbing myself some more tea, as mom watched ET (The "news" show thing. Damned if know the channel), and was walking back to my room, as I heard the annoucer declare that some parents got their daughter a boob job for graduating. I paused, blinked, thought I'd surely misheard, and they repeated it again. This time adding that her parents gave her a Jaguar for graduating, which she didn't want (but I'm going to assume she still kept), and instead, offered her breast implants. Seriously, how do you go from the times when you'd get, say, a few hundred bucks if your family could afford it, or perhaps a trip somewhere, or a nice party with your friends, to a Jag and breast implants? There is no possible way their daughter worked hard enough for their family to earn that car, and there's absolutely no reason she needed the operation, either..which could cost as much, if not more than the car, apparently.
There are reasons why I'm not impressed with Humanity in general, and the existance of people like this is one of them. *Twitches*
Damn, best I'll expect from my parents is a pat on the back and a one-way ticket to wherever my college would be located. I won't even have to go for another 3 months!

American is still hooked on Britney Spears "Chaotic" when maybe 1 : 500 could tell you one leading cancer treatment scientist. In someways, if you stand back, you will really see how backwards the US and most industrialized nations are.
