No, these are the slang terms commonly used by BRITISH troops...

AAC - Army Air Corps
AGC - Adjutant General Corps
Beer token - Medals
Bn - Battalion anything from 350 to 700 men. Called a Regiment except in the Infantry
Bundle - Rifle
Bergen - rucksack
Bag on - Sex with an ugly woman
Bag Off - Sex with a pretty woman
Chad - Not very good
Chuffed - Happy
Cheeky - Something difficult (30 mile run over dartmoor is a little bit cheeky)
Chopper - An idiot (Civvi Chopper is the worst kind of idiot)
Chinstrapped - When you are worn out
Civvi - Civillian
Cdo - Commando (an individual or unit 40, 42,45,29,59,131,148, Logs)
CHOSC - Cdo Helecopter operations Support Cell)
Chit - Piece of paper which entitles you to something
Crabs - The RAF
Flick - your equipment account
French - generic term for all enemy forces of any nationality
Grown ups - Senior Non Commissioned Officer
Pads - Old term for Irish also married soldiers
Pad Brat - soldiers child
RA - Royal Regiment of Artillery (known as Gunners)
RAF- Royal Air Force
RAF Regt - RAF's soldiers (known as Rock Apes or Gunners)
RHA - Royal Horse Artillery (also known as Gunners)
HAC - Honourable Artillery Regiment
Int - Intelligence Corps (known as green slime)
Pongo - Army (not often used now)
REME - Royal Electrical Mechnical Engineers (Rough Engineering Made Easy)
RE - Royal Engineers (known as Sappers)
Regt- A Battallion size group (except Infantry who have several Bn's to a Regt
RGR - Royal Gurkha Rifles (simply the best)
RGibR -Royal Gibraltar Regt
RLC - Royal Logistic Corps (home of the Manboob Mafia)
RM - Royal Marines (known as Bootnecks or Royals)
RMP- Royal Military POlice (Monkey's)
RN - Royal Navy (known as Matlots to OR's or Andrew to Ruperts)
Rag's - Arabs
Rupert - Officer
SRR - Special Reconnaissance Regiment (too new for a nickname)
SAS - Special Air Service
SBS - Special Boat Service
TA - Territorial Army (known as Stabs- Stupid TA Bastards)
Threaders - Royal Marines version of Chinstrapped

Yeah, the French thing is quite amusing, but kinda understandable, seeing as we've been at war with eachother most of the last 900 years. :) I imagine the French Army has some rather unflattering things to say about us as well.

why would i think the yanks would say any of those. yanks speak in redneck-speak
