Post your class schedule for the 2006 school year!
Well, I'm pretty sure a good number of us are still in school. Here's to go to whine about your future classes and poke fun at underclassmen. :)
10th Grade:
World History Honours
Chemistry Honours
Language Arts 2 Honours (English 10th Grade Level)
Algebra2/Pre-Calculus Honours
Spanish 2
Waterpolo (School calls it Advanced P.E. oh how special)
Yes, indeed I'm at a loss for ideas on new threads. Yes I am Californian. Yes I am using British spelling to bug future teachers. Metre, theatre, honour, favour, colour, etc. etc.

You actually WATCH Jay Leno? You deserve no slack.

Seconded, Letterman is five times better than Leno. But then again, Carson was ten times better than Letterman from the few old episodes I’ve seen on TV land and such.
I don't even know when Letterman comes on.
Nor do I really care.
I just stick for the monologue, then maybe a guest.
Looks like tommorrow my Governor is going on Leno...good 'ol Arnie.

Arnie rules! :D
Arnie rules! :D
Literally!
Literally!
I was referring to his policies and success (him being an immigrant and all). But I guess you could take it that way. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Killed enough time yet?

Oh I just stuck for the monologue and some of the interview.
Now this is just insomnia working.

What self respecting high school student (an awesome one at least) doesn't watch Conan!?
What self respecting high school student (an awesome one at least) doesn't watch Conan!?
One that could care less?
Couldn't care less?
Shouldn't care less?
Wouldn't care less?
I never know which one is the appropriate one. So I just say them all.
What self respecting high school student (an awesome one at least) doesn't watch Conan!?
Conan is awful. Oh, what has befallen The Tonight Show. To go from Carson to Leno to Conan. That’s reverse evolution if I’ve ever seen it.

Some comparative history papers, accounting, macroeconomic theory, welfare economics. Uni stuff. :)
It was some years ago, but I just wanted to post how my classes looked the last year I was in high school.
Danish Lit. *
English
Psychology
Art appreciation *
Social Studies
Religious Studies *
Ancient History *
History *
PE *
Science * (a catch-all, pyhsics, chemistry, math class for us linguistic students)
The courses marked with an asterisk were all compulsory.
EDIT: I'm curious, how many lectures do you have in a week and what length are they? When I was in high school, the lecture length were 45 minuttes and we had 30-32 lectures a week. Of course most were double lectures where one subject was tought in two back-to-back lectures. (Sorry, my foreign and quite addled brain caould not find a better term than 'lecture' and I'm too damn lazy to hit the dictionaries and thesarous)

Tentatively, teaching Sophmore English and Senior English.
Our school is dumb so I don't know the exact order, but here's what I took:
All grade 12: (U = university level, M = university/college, O = open)
Catholic Living (U) (Religion; I go to a Catholic school, it's manditory)
Descreet Mathematics (U)
Advanced Functions and Introductary Calculus (U)
English (U)
European History from the 16th Century (U)
Geomatics (O)
Music (M)
Computer Programming (Java) (U or M, forget)
Next year is divided into two semesters.
Semester 1:
10 weeks for writing something similar to a thesis.
10 weeks for doing whatever I want, the only condition is that it has to be relevant to a medical student, so for five of those weeks I'll be stationed at a children's clinic, and the other five weeks, I'm thinking about a stint in a hospital in Sarajevo. Or maybe Cuba. That's bound to change.
Semester 2:
2 weeks neurology
2 weeks practice in a primary health care facility
2 weeks dermatology in open health care
2 weeks immunology and skin infections
4 weeks ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology in open health care
2 weeks epidemiology and scientific attitudes
4 weeks infectious diseases in open and closed health care
2 weeks for exams. :(
Fun! :)

Anyhoo, you should strive for perfection. Anyone that tells you to settle for mediocrity is wrong.

At least he isn’t noticeably stoned on stage like Leno’s guy. :p

My sophomore year of high school consisted of pretty much nothing. Just English, Algebra II, Drivers Education, Radio, Chemistry, gym, and French.
When you slack off Freshman year, they don't let you back in the Honors Classes. :p

Reading through this I only noticed a few of the high school kids were in band. I was in chamber orchestra throughout high school and viewed music as an important part of my whole education. Anyone else feel the same?
Past senior year was:
English 12
American Government
Chamber Orchestra
Physics AP (2 periods every day)
Drawing
Calculus AP
I wonder how I did on my AP exams
English 12
AP Stastics (Did AP AB Calculus last year)
Adv Spanish Literature
AP US Government
AP Comparative World Politics
AP Biology
Literature of Crime
I haven't gotten my schedule as of yet--that will come in August--but I do know what classes I chose. This would be my senior year at high school.
AP Spanish 5:
Spanish 3 and 4 were painfully easy, I don't know how much of a challenge 5 will be. I've heard most of it was busywork. Even then, not to be conceited, but I feel my natural talent is linguistics.
AP Statistics:
I'm only taking this since it's a blow-off class, that and I'm bad at math. Besides, I'd do better in statistics than calculus! :)
AP Biology:
I'm only taking that because I wouldn't have to take a gym class. But I feel I'll enjoy this more than physics or advance chemistry.
Lunch
AP Macroeconomics/AP Government:
I've always found social sciences interesting--at least these will give some sort of credit for college. (otherwise I'd be in Senior Survey, which covers too much too vaguely in my opinion)
Orchestra
I play the viola.
Expository composition/advance reading:
Expo. is a writing class, basically
Advance reading I've been thinking of replacing with AP Literature--English is another favorite subject of mine (even then, I'd only take it for half a semester)
