And really! I've got to manage four million inhabited planets! I don't have the time to deal with little things like grammar mistakes (it's Calvin and Hobbes is awesome, not Calvin and Hobbes are awesome... ;)).

That's a perceptual thing. if you think of the comics, then it is an is. However, if you perceive Calvin and Hobbes as two seperate entities, and thus plural, then it's are. It just depends how real they are to you :D

We have a word for such threads. We call them "spam". Given that, why don't you focus your efforts on not making pointless threads in future.
