The worst horror movie - ever

What's the worst horror movie you've ever seen? I bet everyone of you have seen plenty of them but it'd be nice to know what kind of stuff they've been shooting during the last few decades when horror movies haven't been very popular.

I don't remember the name of the worst horror movie I've seen. It was an 80's or 70's movie and I think it was made in Hungary or somewhere 'cause the language is so strange.
It told about a crazy elevator that was equipped with an artificial intelligence and for some strange reason, this elevator wanted to kill people. The movie might have been called "the Lift" or something. I don't remember...

Post your worst horror movie experiences! Let's see if there's something so horrid nobody likes...

THE EVIL.

a great horror movie of a couple who buy a house and invite a few friends to help "fix er up"

then they find a sealed doorway to Hell, open it, and the house starts to kill them off one-by-one.

then they ruined it by having the couple decend through the doorway and they meet the devil... and it's Mr. Shubert - Man from Atlantis reference for anyone who remembers that series. (Victor Buono)

and he is killed when the wife stabbs him with a metal (plain) pole she just happens to find down in Hell.

Here's my personal list! :D

3) Lobotomy -- If you understand it, you have a problem.

2) Driller Killer -- OK. Guy eats pizza, screws girlfriend, paints modern stuff. Gets dumped. Watchs TV ads. Buys drill and a pack of batteries. Kills people at random.

1) Splatter Academy -- So bad it hurts. Don't miss the "OMG" scene in the attic. We laughed a LOT.

1) without extra food for emergencies.
2) without a GUIDE to lead them.
3) without a radio/walkie-talkie to call for help.
4) without ANYWAY to signal that they need help (flaregun)
5) and without a working brain among the three of them. (We're lost, so I'll just toss the map away and not say anything for a couple of days.)

That would easily be "Jason X", the eleventh (?) installment in the "Friday the 13th" series. It was set in outerspace in an unbearably B-movie, cheesy "Star Trek" rip-off way, and involved Jason being accidentally released from his encasement in ice on some spaceship run by teenagers. Eventually, Jason battles a cyborg-chick and becomes "Uber-Jason", half zombie, half machine, thanks to some nifty thirtieth century technology.

Was kind of fun in a "so bad it's good way", though.

It actually is! It's called Graveyard Shift. It's very old and pretty bad. Its about rats living below the cotton mill who live off remains from a graveyard adjacent to the factory. But the machine does become involved more than once. But I actually like it for comedic value.

IMHO, horror movies today either take themselves too seriously (artsy) or are multi-picture series (SFx and $$$).

Prophecy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079758/) anybody?

The "exploding" sleeping bag scene in which the mutant inside-out bear slams a kid in a down sleeping bag against a rock, is pure B-horror movie genius.

I can't believe no one mentioned House of Wax.

The mere fact that Paris Hilton is in it makes it hilarious.

Damn! Some nutball had the guts to remake the André De Toth/Vincent Price classic? With Paris Hilton????

I know Hollywood's always been a bit incestuous with the remakes, but damnation, they are just getting rediculous.

I wonder how long it will take before we'll see a remake of Star Wars?

That movie actually got nominated "Worst Movie Ever", and after it got the award it became far more popular then it had been before. It actually has a sequel.. think its called Revenge of the Dead.. trying to get my hands on both to see but at the moment the worst I've seen was one called "Scream Baby Scream".. 60s horror about a plastic surgeon/artist who discovers a new chemical which allows plastic surgeons to turn the flesh into a jelly for a brief time, allowing them to mold flesh to get the desired effect... he starts capturing people and making their faces into Picaso like things.. so incredibaly bad.. the write up at the back didn't even come close to telling what the movies about.. so my friends and I were forced to write up a new write up on the back before giving it back to the store where we rented it.

I mean.. it's like calling "Austin Powers" a spy movie.. its a comedy.. a spoof... no self respecting horror movie would have a dentist singing about how he loves to give people pain.. just thought I'd point out that it wasn't really a horror movie, but a comedy

Jason X was pretty bad, it was on Sci-fi the other day and I caught the end of it, I may be a horrible person but, I laughed at a couple things and the rest was like "wtf"

I turned it on where his body was reforming from whatever,
so he comes back and is in a hall way, android walks up to him, he TAPS her in the head and her head POPS OFF, like *touch* *head pop off*. THEN he hits one dude up against a wall and he managed to be pretty dman half decent from being knocked the hell up against a wall fro ma guy that flicked a robots head off

so they blow him up and then he survives space and punches ahole in the space station's TIN wall and creates a vacuum, shits starts flying torward in and one gurl, who APPARENTLY has NO bones at all gets sucked up torward, which is now covered by a metal grate with holes maybe 1 inch by 2 inches big. She is SUCKED through that, like I said, she was a gelatenous blob though she didnt look it.

so after that, they run off to another part of the ship shutting about 5 blast doors behind them, not the blast doors close like this -><-, and some up and down. Jason X when going to the doors does NOT pry them apart or knock holes in them, he PUSHES THEM DOWN, like "oh a door" *PUSHES OVER*.

Then my favorite part, a contributing factor of why i'm going to hell, he is about to kill them so they make a hologram where two girls proposition jason for sex in crawl in sleeping bags, it pans to the people trying to get their asses out of their then back to jason, both girsl are tied in their sleeping bags and he is BEATING one of them WITH THE OTHER ONE, he has a machete the size of his leg and he is beating them WITH EACH OTHER. I laughed out loud at that. And the whole time they are going "ow, ow, ow"

Worst attempt at a real horror movie ever
