I'll be there this weekend -- any suggestions for good restaurants?

I once behaved very oddly there. But I ate at Denny's. :(

*chuckles* You make this sound as if it was a one time thing. I've read your posts, Mr. G. ;)

I believe there is a place called blue point grill that has great seafood. But I am not sure if you would be able to get a table without reservations. Link to their website.http://www.bluepointgrill.com/blue_point_grill.htm. O and piece of advice stick to the speed limit. Cops are everywhere in Princeton and will pull you over at the drop of a hat. That place lives off of speeding tickets.

On the contrary. I behave oddly all the time. Hell, I'm behaving oddly right now(I'm compiling a master list of all the times I have been struck in the groin in my lifetime). But I only behaved oddly in Princeton, New Jersey once that I can recall. :)

Hmm..I've been up there, can't remember any restraunts off the top of my head, but my advice is avoid the so called "Tex Mex" up in the New England area. It's...not so grand.

Most of my relatives live up that way in Woodbridge and Edison (I used to live in Toms River). I've heard from them that there are quite a few good restaurants and shops over in the Princeton Forrestal Village (http://www.outletsonline.com/nepfnj.htm) out on Route 1. I've seen the place, and it looks great but I've never been in there.

Hoagie Haven- Just a sandwich shop. Good sandwiches though. Expect it to be packed with university students and expect to wait in line for service.

Tiger Noodle- light chinese influenced fare. Soups, noodles, salad, etc. BYOB

Thai Village- Thai food

Blue Point Grill- Seafood

Hope some of this helps.

EDIT: For a good beer try Triumph Brewing Company. They microbrew beers and run a pub on Nassau st., the main strip in Princeton.

Princeton?

Well, there's that tavern over at the corner of Main & Grove where I had some lunch with one of George Washington's officers back in the 1780s, and it was pretty good, as I recall. It might not be standing anymore though. I heard that while I was gone there was a fire of some kind. :)

There's also a university there which is quite new, and supposed to be good. It may have a good restaurant on campus, explaining its popularity.
