Eh, I came here because I loved video games and SOME anime. Not because I was IN LOVE with them.

Don't like anime, but love video games, especially the FF series. My fav is FF7 because it has the best plot, and it really gets you attached to the characters.

Especially FFX that story line was so predictable. I really bugs me when I know what's going to happen before it happens, and th reason for the characters to be going to their adventure was REALLY dumb. At least in FF7 there was a great reason for the adventure, and the plot twists were amazing.

I'm not really into video games anymore and the only anime I like is Neon Genesis Evangelion and some Miyazaki stuff. As far as videogame stories go...they tend to be bad...often very bad. This is why videogames should not be movies.

I've gotten to a certain point in that stage and am down to 7 bullets, and i'm now faced with several guys with automatic weapons... i do not have nearly enough bullets to take them out.

is there a "cheat" i can employ to get more (or unlimited) bullets?

The Civilization series, Starcraft and Brood War, the Warcraft games, the Total War series and Galactic Civilizations (a great game for capitalists ;) ), are among my favorites. I also like RPGs. Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights really stand out there. I enjoy the occasional standard console game. These include, Halo, Halo 2, Star Wars: Battle Fronts, the Rouge Squadron series and the Zelda games.

As for anime, I wouldn’t buy any of the DVDs but I watch the stuff that they have on Cart0on Network at night. It’s pretty good. Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Ruroni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Champloo and Full Metal Alchemist are my favorites.

They're great, but AS and Toonami are becoming really messed up as of late tho....a lot of the good anime got pulled (Bebop, Kenshin, Gundam SEED's timeslot was moved), and some of the new stuff doesn't seem to cut it (not so big on One Piece or Paranoia Agent...). Then again I'm a Gundam junkie who's just begging to see anything MSG uncut (I know 0083 was on one of the 1st AS lineups, but I didn't know of it at the time)

WHAT???? I don't know what you found annoying about them, because I thought they were like real people! (ok, barret and cid did swear everyother word, but that just added to the funnyness :D) FF8 also was weird, there were too many coincidences that just didn't make sence in the grand scheme of things, that I thought could have been improved.

Seriously DBZ just disgraced itself with all these new ones they're putting up. And I have to say, wth is one piece about, freakin pirates and whatnot...

I may just send in an E-Mail to whoever the hell runs all the programs and voice for the older viewers who want to see the old-school stuff back on.

the reason that i probably found them annoying is that the game is so plot driven. there isn't as much emphasis on fighting over story as much as older ff games. ff8 was the same way, and i was annoyed then. but ff10 was by far the worst in doing this.

Damn if we were going sheer amounts of bad ass: Vicious, Sesshomaru, Sephiroth, and others (and Vicious, he is doubly bad ass, "You shall bleed tears of scarlett")

Tifa from FF7 is good, and Samus gets bad ass and hotness, double score, its the triple points for being a bounty hunter babe

I don't see why Toonami isn't trying to re-license any gundam series, they were all kick-ass.

Man, why did all the great toons have to happen BEFORE I learned how to tape things and convert them to DVD's!

They should also get rid of that Miguzi crap, I mean seriously, are the newer generation kids into such poor animations like Code Lyoko or whatever its spelled. CN should bring toonami back to 5 PM and re-instate some of the classics like Gundam Wing...and bring back those toonami interlude movies, those were awsome.

How were they rewritten? I know they edited out a lot of the more graphic scenes, but did they actually change the stories?
In the original Japanese story, Shio was assumed dead and so was Anya. but one change in the American Verson is that Shiro was declared a traitor and he was to be arrested on site. (in a scene that was suppose to be without words)

this was done because there was a special released later. where his team goes out to search for him. There they encounter a strange group of people (whom only the Hard Core Gundam fans would reconize) and find the tie between Shio, Anya and these survivors of the war.

Also (now this is second hand info so it might be wrong.) the American version tried to make the Zions totally evil with a couple of exceptions. when it's actually the other way around. Never saw the American version so I really can't say if that's true or not. but most of the Zions were actually noble and honerable. people you would sit with in a bar and share a round with.

Gundam isn't about the Mecha but the war and how they affect the people involved. But the American version tend to focus on the Mecha and gloss over the true story... that being the people.

ok i forgot to add one thought. for those of you who have fallen in "love" with those characters, especially the guy in love with samus cuz she can totally whip him, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH YOU? they are fictional characters. sides, Chi from Chobits is the only anime or videogame chic out there worth falling in "love" with. the rest just suk cuz theyre whiny. specially Kagome. I mean seriously people :headbang: theyre not real

True... but the Gundam X had Mobile Bit Fighters... Mobile Suites piloted by the New types power. so one Gundam X had a Support fleet of 12 other mobile suits... each with the Satellite Gun... and the Earth government made the Double X... a Mobile suit that has Two Satellite Guns.

Awsome series... only pity was that it ended when they introduced Paula. the running gag was that Garoad's head always ended up against her...

ahem...

and she piloted the Gun Phoenix. a support vehicle that combines with any Gundam type unit.

Oh well, my friend has the American and Japanese versions so I don't really care all that much... :D

I am a fan of anime, but currently I am on an Hiatus of sorts since nothing at the moment seems to interest me. As for gaming? Love it, Live it.
