Britain would. Europe shattered under the power of the German war machine. Guess which countries didnt....thats right. Britain, America and Canada! And Russia....but at the expense of 250,000 men and a lucky winter. If I remember rightly we saved Europe and broke Germany.

anyways. um I think what saved englands ass in a way was the same situation as Russia. I.e. bad weather conditions.

but then again You did beat germany at the battle of britain fair enough...but If the Yanks werent involved you may of lost. The germans would of cut off your oil supply routes and then you would have been stuffed...

ahh why do people think that numbers are everything? First off all just taking the whole number of your population doesn't equal army size(unless you are going to give babies and old people guns). the US has an active army of 1.4 Million the second in size in the world(china has the largest army), the US army is the only army in the world capable of projecting force(you know what that is right?) europeans will be on a defensive war, russia would probably be neutral and we can bomb your land supply lines(how are you going to get those wonderful supplies from russia if we bomb your rails and roads!)...
france, italy, and germany have small small armies if you want me too I will go pull the numbers off wikipedia if you want? okay

But the thing is, we only have to worry about France and Germany. Besides that, a few well placed bombs and missiles, and Europe grinds to a screeching halt. We have the ability to paralize all of Europe in a matter of days. Then we can just move in at our leisure. You are also discounting the fact that we can transport people across the ocean with our troop ships (who needs a cruise liner LOL) and with Europe paralized with no transportation or communication, can just begin to invade along the French Coast.

An invasion won't be easy but before long, it'll get easier. Besides that, the small nations would retire from combat and surrender because they don't want to feel the brunt of the engagement. Europe also has a shoddy military presence. Its going to take more troops than Europe has right now to defeat the combined might of the US/Canada/British force.

ok we aren't using pattons half-backed definitoin of war, by that logic a murderer could declare war on your house lol.... anyway france would only be able to kill us soldiers in conventional combat(and if they went nuclear they would no longer have a civilazation) EU would lose in a pure war, they still have a small chance, very very small chance!

Unlikely. Russia's military can't really move because they are short of money. Not to mention, they really aren't a state of the art military anymore either. Not since the USSR collapsed. As for China, they don't have the capacity to project overseas.

Draconis Federation: You certainly have alot of hope in humanity... I very greatly doubt that it will come out nearly as nice as that, every country putting its own agenda and petty hatreds behinds themselves.
Ever heard of fear and violence, great motivators, if used effectively. Complete dissastors if overly used, that and hatred. Great initiatives but not strong enough to fuel a long standing alliance, as far as I can see, other than the language barrier, mainly imposed by the french, the US and the EU aren't any differant different.

Same culture, same history, just about; same everyday life, accept nude beaches *shudders* it's like the discovery channel their, creepy. Any way, the same basically, so I say that we'd work fine together, as long as everybody spoke english, or spanish, we could unite under one flag. Though I doubt the french would approve, but who cares, they bitch too much.

After that, we would have a two continent nation, larger than china, after china was pressured we could do anything we wanted take over africa the rest of the pacific, given the chance all but Taiwan would join willingly.

All that this needed is incentive, let that incentive be fear, hate, violence, or the old fashioned necesity, after all give it twenty thirty years, we'll need to unite or both be overwhelmed by the eastern block lead by china. Think about it, necesity, survival, is the one motivator that would make us forget our differances and unite. Sad though, that it will take so long, and so many lives. *Tisk tisk* War is hell, or perhaps peace is, we humans can never truly know heaven from hell till we've lived them both. no a lizard killed my father.... well I never knew him but if i did I am sure a lizard would've killed him...

I must go but I shall be back in oh say 12 hours...

But it's funny, my uncle and his squad were on assignment, a non-live fire patrol in the new mexico desert. He and his freinds came up on this one rock where they found a very large lizard, they circled it and began planning an attack when it shot up and chased them on it's hind legs. While they were running they would provide cover fire for ten yards in succession of rank. He told me, that damn lizard chased them more then two hundred yards, and to this day he's glad that no one was in the observation tower watching them. But it's hillarious that six US Army Rangers were routed by one lizard running on it's hind legs. Kinda makes you worry bout the whole armed services doesn't it?
