Apologies if this has already been posted

Following on from the success of Wikipedia, the LA Times decided to have a "wikitorial." It does exactly what it says on the tin. Readers of the paper who disagreed with the editorial could change parts of it for whatever reasons they wanted. Though it all went horribly wrong for the LA Times, since they didn't factor in malicious/prankster netizens.
It appears the theatrics started off a bit benign, though hysterical with comments like "The Bush administration should be publicly charged and tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity." Or the straightforward "Fuck USA."
Then horror struck:
At 4am the paper's managing editor got a call from the office. Explicit images known as "goatses" had appeared on the wikitorial page. The experiment was terminated.
Needless to say, it was shut down after that.
Its the last part that I find hilarious (in a sadistic, not-really-all-that-funny kinda way). I'm just imagining a number of GROLIES* being confused by the term "goatses" and googling it. I must make sure I get a Guardian tommorow for the letters page.
Sorry, but it gave me a much needed laugh today :)
Isn't the internet fun :p
