Well, depending on whether or not he was born, the world might either be quite different or exactly the same.

Should social welfare take precedence over conflicting privacy ideals?
Does America have the autority to enforce democratic ideals on other countries?
In a democracy, should there be a separation of church and state?

Not necessarily. What if was never born at all, in this timeline(or whatever you'd call it)? He has an enormous amount of influence as it is, and He doesn't even exist(theoretically).

Woah. There's an interesting one. I guess the internet would be very different, for one (no porn, etc.). Or would there be asexual porn? lol.

1: Rome would never have become great probably.
2: The next one or two would have been. It was enevitable.

BUT! What if he never was? What if it was made up? Since we can't prove either way, it doesn't matter.

In other words, does society rely on great people or do great people rely on society? The Atlas Shrugged argument.

That's a strange argument/question. Great people affect society because they have been affected by society... but what is a great person? One working single mom who supports and raises her children, and does it well, is greater than all the self-made millionaires and visionary thinkers in history. There is immense greatness in being ordinary.
