Have you ever - ever - felt discontent with the NFA? Have you ever ranted furiously about the silly ‘sporting purpose clause’? Have you ever been annoyed by the regulation against new full-auto weapons or by the length limit on shotguns? I know you have. All of us have, at some point.

What have you done about it? Have you ranted about the NRA, GOA, CCRKBA not doing anything? Have you ever been angry at them for it? Well, I have an offer for you:

NFAOA

The NFA owners Association is a small activist group, dedicated to the single cause of organising pro-freedom activists for reform the NFAOA. There’s no membership fees and there’s no annoying donation mailings. It works on the same principle of awbansunset.com - the site that helped the assault weapon ban sunset.

What do you need to do?

Simple - join the NFAOA forum at http://nfaoa.org/ - and keep yourself informed of the news, issues, and action to be taken on NFA reform.

Join the NFAOA - it’s free, and it’s for the children!

I'm interested in sound suppressors for indoor and backyard shooting. I think there will be an increased need for these in an increasingly urbanized country. Health reasons as well. This is an area of the NFA that needs to be revised - not that there aren't a lot of other problems with the law as well.

I agree with you -even though America is not "growing urbanised".
It's growing suburbanised - only about 27% americans live in big citities, as opposed to about 33% in the sixties.

I stand corrected - I meant to say suburban. And beyond our shift in populations remains the issue of people who are uncomfortable with ownership of firearms and the noise associated with them.

Paying $200 for a suppressor to do neighbors a service and permit me to shoot without hearing protection is unnecessary.

It's not an immediate issue for me, I live in a remote area and have excellent shooting opportunities (though I have neighbors and like to shoot on my property). But I am concerned for others, and of course for myself if attitudes translate into more restrictive legislation down the road.

And most importantly the NFA is about rights lost. Though unfortunately many of my brethren don't see it that way.
