Used to be a fanatic.

But gave up after the disgisting match fixing scandals.

The thought of having wasted so much time watching fixed matches ...GRRRRR.

I still believe there is some fixing going on even now, although it is not often and not in the open.

Money is a great temptation. And then the mafia.

Trivia : Name the two captains, who both claimed that the other captain won the toss.

I am not kidding this actually happened, it is speculated that both the captains were paid by 2 different bookies to "lose" the coin toss.

I'd say one was Hanse Conje (sp?) South Africa and the other, The Indian captain at the time?

Salim Malik and Mohammed Azharuddin of pakistan and India. This happened in Sharjah.

Hansie Cronje took money, but he threw away only "inconsequestial' matches. It is amazing how people risk their career and all their life's work for extra money.

The problem is once you take money, you are in the hands of the bookie mafia which will make sure that you are in their pay even if you like it or not.

OK, another trivia.

Name this illustrous cricketer who did not miss a single test match in his long career due to injury. He was dropped once due to politicking, but still he has the longest unbroken record of test matches.
