I say either the van der sloot kid killed her and the dad disposed of her or the dad killed her. Any other random speculation?

i hope she is kidnapped to venezuela. you never know, its not that far from aruba.
i expect that the boy got too rough or insistent and when she ran to get away from him she fell and bashed her head in on a rock. then he panicked and hid her body or took it out to sea.
17 seems a bit young for cold blooded murder but its not out of the question. i just wish they would tell what they did with her so her corpse is that much less horrifyingly decomposed when the family gets it back.
