Some reasons why my dad is awesome:
He knows more about comicbooks than I do. And that's saying something.
He is more up on current music than most "hip" young people.
He is a mad scientist.
He wasn't afraid to play football and Ultimate with his daughter, and he's not afraid to cuddle and comfort his son.
He reads to his kids, and always picks out the best books.
He wages unceasing war against the squirrels in the backyard.
He is openly affectionate, caring, and respectful toward his wife. Hugging and kissing is not something to be hidden from the kids' eyes, although we usually have to say "Eeeeeew!!!" whenever Mom and Dad get mushy, because that's our job as children.
He will say he is sorry when he has made a mistake, even if this means apologizing to one of his kids. He leads by example.
