I'm in Bolton, a few miles away, and currently the sky's really dark, making rumbling noises and raining, sometimes with thunder and lightning. No alarms going off yet though.

Whereas here in the Garden of England, it's about 85F, blue sky, sun; and I've just been checking my fruit trees to the sound of bird song and Yamasuki. Looks like a bumper crop of plums this year.

(Just to point out we get the occasional nice day here in the UK. And to rub in the bird song and greenery advantages of the occasional spot of rain. :p )

I'm in Manchester too. Yeah, it came completely out of no where.

No alarms going off though.

Yeah, defniately Biblical :p :)

The annoying thin is that it is still quite warm so I am roasting and cannot open the window out of fear the rain will destroy the computer :(

As do I. At least it's only 50 minutes long, although concentration is vital when dealing with French people :headbang:

No, it's pretty sunny where I am. In fact, I've been sitting outside, drinking Pimms and eating freshly-baked scones.

Apparently the uber-hot weather in the UK over the last few days is causing freak shifts in atmospheric pressure, which in turn is causing sudden and very severe concentrations of atmospheric phenomena.

In non-star trek terms, it's very hot, the rainclouds are getting pushed in funny directions by the heat and the weathermen can't predict where all of them are going to go.

Still clear and hot here though, now rather concerned for middle of night though considering how it seems to have run down the UK. Should be here soon then *looks out window* :D
