Which Death Would You Prefer: Fire Or Ice?

How would you prefer your death.

To melt away in the burning fire?

or

To freeze in the merciless ice?

Ice, hands down.

I agree.....if I am looking to die with minimal pain.

But for those of us who enjoy the burning fire........know that it probably wouldn't last longer then a min or two, as your nerves would likely be seared. You'll probably be numb in your last moment or two of burning to death.

Ice, cause mabye, just mabye, I'd be able to thaw out someday and live in the future...

....Hey, it could happen! :D

Ice. I hate hot temperatures and really felt at home in the Canadian winter. If anything, I would like to freeze to death

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Depends how hot the fire is. If it's nuclear-hot and I'll vaporize in a microsecond, it might not be so bad.

If the fire is nuclear-hot, there are more important issues than whether or not you would prefer dying by it.

Seriously? Fire. That way, I can hopefully take several people with me.

Ice...ice, baby.

Ice definitely. Burning to death would be excruciatingly painful, IMO.

Fire, becuase I could run around and jump on people before I die, forcing them to share my crimson fate.

It's a poem by Robert Frost, ironically enough.

Ice, you just sort of go numb and fall asleep. Sounds like a peachy way to die. Fire...not so much.

Ach its just the usual marching season rumblings, nothing serious.

Hey I'm ahead of every one of you - in about five years, Vanilla Ice'll be retro and you'll all be quoting songs by Coldplay very unhip-ly. So there.

Cavemen!

(Actually, I don't like Vanilla Ice, and I don't think I'm ahead of anything except my own two feet, so uhhh... where'm I going with this? Later!)

You could possibily take others with you dying by Ice........depending where you are perhaps. Such as falling down in a frozen sub-zero lake while you grab them, taking them for the ride.

Hm. why limit to OR? can it be AND?

Spend 5 mintes alternating between them untill you die of shock.
Yeah...yes...

Ok let’s see here...

Ice, you slowly lose feeling over most of your body, you get sapped of your energy, and eventually your blood vessels seal up from contractions thus cutting off blood to your brain. What fallows has been described as a peaceful euphoria where you feel nothing but a low warmth as you fall into a deep dreamless sleep, never to wake again.

Fire, your skin burns up until it eventually falls off your bare muscles, your nerves are not immediately destroyed as commonly though, instead your nerve dendrites get gradually singed before the nerve body itself is destroyed thus meaning you feel EVERYTHING. On a harsher note, your bodily fluids will start to boil and eventually evaporate causing your body to bloat and explode; your skull in particular will trap steam until your brain oozes out your eyes, ears, and nose. This will most likely kill you. Somewhere along the line your blood will boil as it still pumps through your body, your heart WILL explode. You may or may not die during any of this; your suffering is of undetermined length.

Let's just say I wouldn't bother tossing a coin. :)

Ice is hardly that easy.

You forgot the water content of your body freezing a crystalizing, causing your body's cells to rupture all over, leaving you in excruciating pain until the end.

And frost bite >_<

Your brain (and heart) will shut down and you will die before crystalization can cause you pain. Frost bite on the other hand can be a bitch, mainly in the hands and feet.

Nice thread. jk. I would prefer freezer burn to burny fire burn. Destroy my nerves. Of course, there's the risk of coming back to life and feeling like your on fire when the blood starts flowing, like pins and needles.
